Laughter and tears are both reactive, one more traditionally public and the other normally reserved for private, but each a sign of something involuntary and each capable of providing a different kind of catharsis. Do you know any other shows that deal with serious topics in a funny, insightful way? If you have seen ‘Shrinking’, ‘Somebody Somewhere’ or ‘A Man On The Inside,’, do you laugh or cry (or both?) while watching?

The third season will premiere October 27 on ‪HBO Max. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this will be the show's final season.

Quoting this Jezebel article: Somebody Somewhere is set in the rural town of Manhattan, Kansas, and follows Sam (Bridget Everett), a 40-something who’s struggling to find a sense of purpose in her hometown while mourning her sister’s death. And while the show is about feeling lost, Sam finds her chosen family in a crew of local misfits, many of whom are queer.
