I love a lot of shows but the one show that I'm completely obsessed with right now is Once Upon a Time. I drive my family a little crazy with how often I talk about it ;)

I feel like I get obsessed with shows that don't inspire a lot of fannishness, like Banshee and Vikings. And Arrow, for some reason, although I feel like it SHOULD have a whole lot of fannish works around it by now. I never do obsession right lol

I never get obsessed with shows but sometimes I'll get obsessed with the fanfic related to them, reading pretty much everything in the fandoms, indiscriminately. Just really consuming all the fic. Weird.

Interesting! Do you ever find yourself watching a show, just so you can read the fic?

I've had shows in the past that I utterly lost myself in (Smallville, Supernatural, Teen Wolf) but then got horribly burned by the show. It's made me cautious.

Sleepy Hollow started out amazing, wobbled for several episodes and then came in strong at the finish. That one is the closest I've come this year.

I am intensely into The Americans, but not in my typical fannish way (ie: fic, art, gifs etc). And it's unusual for me being that it's not a scifi/fantasy show which is my primary interest.

I adore Arrow, but there are little things nagging at me that keep me from really embracing it.

Elementary is a fave, but I don't rewatch episodes like I did the first part of the Sleepy Hollow season, and like The Americans it's non-genre so it's not really fannish for me in the typical way.

I think I've gotten too...demanding of my entertainment. I keep wanting it to be as perfect as Spartacus or the first part of Sleepy Hollow or the first season of Dark Angel.

I'm very similar when it comes to fanfic. I'll read only certain pairings, but I just go nuts on it. :)

Doctor Who, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, the Voice (yeah I know it's a reality show, but it's a singing reality show with actual people that actually know how to sing), The Walking Dead... Probably a few other obsessions I've forgotten about.

Just one right now actually but I usually never do. I'll keep reading the fic but give up on canon (sometimes even very early on). If the fic is good this is not a problem at all.

It's funny, how I just know that some shows are gonna be fannishly engaging, and others I will become obsessed with, but not on that level. There's something about these 'non-genre' shows... well I'm not even sure if 'non-genre' is the right word, since they are a genre, just not sci-fi...and they now share so many hallmarks of what used to make shows fannish: seriality, continuous universes, character development.

The Americans is like that. It's similar to things like SoA and Mad Men. Maybe there's something about how serious it takes itself? idk
