Episode 2x01: Resurrection
I have a rather long winded reaction post here if you are curious…
What did you think of the episode?
How do you like Ryan Hardy clean and sober?
What about his secret project and unwillingness to work with the FBI?
Did you think that Joe Carroll was dead at the end of Season one or were you surprised by this episode?
What about the tension between Mike and Ryan?
Did you notice Carrie Preston there toward the end?
Do you like Emma's new look? She seems pretty mad to what the other followers seem to be up to, doesn't she?
What is with Luke and Mark? Was that Creepy or what?
And the mask thing at the end? WTF?
Episode 2x02: For Joe
I have yet to see the episode. I'll be watching it tomorrow and will comment with my reaction then.
If anyone catches it before I do, what did you think?
Re: Episode 2x02: For Joe
Luke and Mark are super creepy. Especially Luke.
Ryan is being careless, which is nothing new of course.

Episode 2x03: Trust Me

I'll stop in and comment after I see the episode tomorrow.
Re: Episode 2x03: Trust Me
I enjoyed it. I wasn't that surprised by a lot of it. I knew that subway survivor had to be in on it. Her wounds were too superficial and she was too accepting of Ryan's attention. I did not see the whole thing with her being the twins mother coming though.
Poor Carlos finally bought it. Emma was brought into the fold with the twins while her remaining follower friends had not so happy endings.
I'm wondering why the twins seem so sure they won't be ID'd.
I like how sarcastic Mike has gotten over the past year, I also liked that he broke into Ryan's place to find out what he was up to.

Episode 2x04: Family Affair

Re: Episode 2x04: Family Affair
I liked Joe’s reunion with Emma, that was emotional. It hurt her so much not to be let in on the whole Joe faking his own death thing. She loves him. She is probably the most devoted to him. For her it’s all about him above all else.
Ryan Hardy bumbling about like an idiot along with his niece. And the FBI separately bumbling about like idiots. It was kind of nice to see them arrest him for a change, even if they didn’t hold him for very long. Of course they are going to feel like total idiots when they realize that Joe really is alive. Assuming they ever do.
Joe comes to the house of crazy with Emma and Luke.
I don’t know what it up with these new people. Luke, Mark and Lilly Gray and her other “children”. So Lilly adopted the kids unofficially and all that. And she’s a billionaire. But what does she want with Joe? A father to her children so to speak? She’s like the mother figure and she feels he’d be the perfect daddy to her homicidal children?
I don’t know.
Episode 2x05: Reflection
This is the thread for discussing 2x05: Reflection.
What did you think of the episode?
Re: Episode 2x05: Reflection
Ryan is getting bad. He’s falling far down that abyss I think. Joe would be happy to see what he’s turned him into I think.
Maybe after the picture Mike will believe the Joe’s alive theory finally.
I don’t know. I’m just not feeling it this season. I like Emma and I like Joe as much as one can like a character like him. But I just kind of want him to kill Lilly and her people and run off with Emma and the other girl. I don’t really like these new people at all.
Episode 2x06: Fly Away
What did you think of the episode?
Re: Episode 2x06: Fly Away
I love Mike.
Okay, so is Luke dead or alive? They said nearly dead? right so not dead yet. Meh. I don’t care. I was getting tired of the twins truth be told. Lilly too. She annoys me. I’m glad that Joe shook her off (for now anyways). I knew she was going to drug him. I couldn’t believe he fell for it. Idiot. So now Joe, Mandy and Emma are off to do whatever without the others.
I loved the scene between Emma and Joe. Him admitting he wasn’t a writer. That he had never been any good. That he didn’t want to let anyone else down. It was a nice Emma and Joe moment. She’s been the one who has always been loyal to him.
I knew he wasn’t on the plane. The phone call before hand was pretty obvious.
I loved that Ryan finally called Mike and that Mike came alone because he (rightly) thought the FBI was compromised. I love how bad ass and out of control he was.
I liked that Ryan and Joe finally saw each other. Through the window.
It was a creepy episode but I really enjoyed it. I loved off the wall Mike. I’m kind tired of Ryan to be honest. He gets a little too much screen time. And Lilly and her house of crazy got old real fast for me.
I hope the rest of the episode keep up the goodness of this one. More Mike is good for me. More Emma and Joe too.
Episode 2x07: Sacrifice
Thoughts? Feelings? Etc...
Re: Episode 2x07: Sacrifice
I will say that I didn't see the thing with Mike's dad coming though. I guess he's going to be completely invested in this in as personal a way as Ryan is now. Poor Mike. I love Mike.
I have no idea what to think with this new cult that Joe is hanging with. It seems a compilation of all your standard cults mushed together. I'm glad that he had least tried to fight for Emma and that she's not actually dead. Probably.
Episode 2x08: "The Messenger"
Thoughts, Feelings, etc....
Re: Episode 2x08: "The Messenger"
We get to meet Joe's mentor.
Some really good Mike scenes. I love Mike. I liked when he was breaking that guy's fingers. It was totally deserved. The scenes between Mike and Max were nice and if I hadn't already been shipping them before I would certainly be doing it now.
Episode 2x09: Unmasked
Thoughts, Feelings, etc....
Re: Episode 2x09: Unmasked
I was wondering what the hell Mike was up to. At first I was worried that he was visiting the bad guys but then I saw the badges of the guys and realized it must be witness protection and then boom! Claire!
The rest of the episode was fairly predictable. But Claire being alive? Fuck, I didn't see that coming at all.
Episode 2x10: "Teacher's Pet"
Thoughts, Feelings, etc....
Re: Episode 2x10: "Teacher's Pet"
Look’s like Claire and Ryan are seeing eye to eye about Joe and don’t even know it. “I don’t want to find him. I want to kill him.” -Claire
It was kind of interesting to see the young Joe. Nice to see that he had such a wonderful mentor that saw his potential and instead of trying to keep him from killing, instead helped him foster his “gift” /sarcasm.
I hated the cat killing scene. I can deal with fictional humans dying on screen for the most part but don’t go killing animals :( I can’t stand that at all.
The Max/Mike interactions are killing me because I’m totally shipping them now. I don’t know what is happening to me. I even wrote a short smutty bit with them that still needs to be edited.
And Claire wants to come out of hiding and go to New York just as Ryan is getting hot and heavy with the reporter check. Good timing.
Joe and the cult…blood, killing, blah, blah, blah. I’m just not caring about that side of things much this time around despite my love for James Purefoy.
Episode 2x11: "Freedom"
Thoughts, Feelings,etc....
Re: Episode 2x11: "Freedom"
Poor Mandy, smart girl to get out...not so smart with calling Mark. Then again who else is going to take her in? Plus she has intell on Joe, that I'm sure the Gray family will love to have.
Emma getting Robert back in line with sex. Not exactly original, but effective I guess. Those bunks don't look all that comfortable for that sort of activity though.
Ryan has been killing a lot of people this season.
I hate Lily Gray, but I was kind of happy to see the murder twins back together.
And what the hell is up with Claire? She was safe? Joe thought she was dead (still thinks so at the moment) What is up with compromising that and her son, and risking her son growing up without her? What can she tell Ryan that will actually help? And this is so unfair to poor Mike. He had no choice but to keep that secret. It's Witsec, but I'm sure Ryan's going to hate him for it anyways.
Not enough Max in this episode. Not enough Max and Mike together, especially. Oh well. Four more episodes to go, I think?
Episode: 2x12: "Betrayal"
comment here to discuss this episode...
Re: Episode: 2x12: "Betrayal"
Claire is not a smart woman.
Mandy was foolish and now dead.
Really she should have either stayed with Joe or betrayed him completely.
Loved Max being all concerned over Mike's injury :)
I have no idea how it happened but I'm shipping them so hard now.
Joe blaming Emma for not getting along better with Mandy. Nice one. One of these days Emma is going to reconsider her devotion to Joe and he's going to be in trouble.
So, not only has Claire revealed herself to Ryan and Max, but now also the reporter that Ryan is currently banging.
I'm sure that's going to end well.
I was glad that Ryan didn't blame Mike for not telling him about Claire. I had been worried about that. But Ryan going after Joe (and the cult) alone...not so smart.
Episode 2x13: The Reaping
That episode title seems a bit troubling...
Re: Episode 2x13: The Reaping
So much crazy town with that cult stuff.
The Ryan/Joe banter was pretty awesome though :)
Thank goodness Lily is finally dead. I was afraid with all the speechifying Mike wasn't going to end up going through with it. I'm not sure why Ryan or Max didn't grab him if they really didn't want him to kill her...maybe so they wouldn't startle/force him to shoot.
Seriously, she would have wrangled her way out of jail. Joe did it and he had way less resources than she does. The murder twins are going to be upset now though.
Episode 2x14 "Silence"
Silence? Is that like the calm before the storm, or the lack of sound because everyone is dead?
Just wondering.
Thoughts, Feelings etc...
Re: Episode 2x14 "Silence"
*sigh*
One more episode left of the second season.
Emma's dead. Claire killed her. I say Emma's death coming as soon as she described death as "silence" in a longing kind of way. She was one of my favorite characters really.
If Mike is actually dead (which I don't think he is) then I don't need to watch the third season.
What I liked about this episode? Max made Mike some food and put her hand on his knee after they got home from covering up his execution of Lily Grey.
Episode 2x15 "Forgive"
This is it, the last episode of the season! The show has already been renewed for season three!
Thoughts on the episode, the season in general?
Re: Episode 2x15 "Forgive"
and this...
Finally :)
...and that's probably all that's going to have me coming back next season. Damn.
Now I need to make Max/Mike icons soon!!!
