Really hoping they didn't end the current season on a cliffhanger. But you know they probably did.

ETA: Okay, apparently this was an artistic decision and all the plotlines get wrapped up this season. Going out on their own terms is good.

yeah, it seems like the current arcs could lead into a longer idea? but then again, it depends on how long they've known? I kind of like how the UK version went out. I doubt they'd do that sort of thing in the US version though, it's much lighter spirited. And honestly, I want different things for these guys.

My predictions: Aidan dies (possibly in a mutual suicide with Susanna or possibly defending the others), Josh and Nora reconcile (I really hope!), and Sally...I'm not sure. Maybe she'll get a door!

Which version of the UK show? I stopped watching after season three. I know what happens to the original four, but not the later four.

I can buy Aidan dying saving the others. He's taken perhaps the first step on the road to redemption, and I can see him feeling like the only resolution is sacrifice. Salllyyyyyy! Yeah, she HAS to get her door. And Nora and Josh HAVE To reconcile and have little werewolf pups, and name them Sally and Aidan and raise them in the house.

Do you mean which set of the cast? I meant the very last season--five? six? Where it's all new characters. Their end was AWESOME. But in a very messed up way.

uh oh :( I haven't had time to watch this ep yet. ohnoes! Sometimes I think about this show, and how much potential it has, and how badly it seems to be squandering it! Kinda makes me wanna write fixit fic. If only I weren't so lazy.

Yeah, they're seriously treading in place at this point. Don't want to spoil you, but we've basically known and seen all of this before.

It was also a very bad place for a hiatus of two weeks; the wait built anticipation that this ep failed to deliver on. :-/

Hm. yeah, everything that happened in this ep was telegraphed from way back. We didn't need to see half this. They totally wasted their 1919 bit imo. I'd rather have had Elijah say something like: Klaus you cause pain, rather than stab him, but hey: finally an achilles heel for Klaus! He gets his own special dagger, which I thought was fitting after the dumb line about how God is powerful because he has power or whatever. I have a hard time believing, sometimes, that he's an omnipotent 1000 year old being with his naivete and kneejerk lashing out.

But I AM glad that Elijah stabbed him, on the whole.

But I agree: this is SO patchy. I don't even believe that Marcel and Rebekah are in love still. Nor do I buy the vengeful witch retribution plot. There was no point where it made sense for Genevieve to be like, you used me! That was almost a non sequitur.
