The Expanse
I also like Killjoys and Dark Matter, although I haven't gotten to season 3 yet (I see Dark Matter's is on netflix now)
I've watched the first 3 episodes of Star Trek Discovery and am enjoying it.
- Favorite canceled scifi?
Everything in space ever. A few off the top of my head:
Battlestar Galactica
Star Trek (I'm partial to Enterprise, but liked them all)
Firefly
Farscape
Space: Above and Beyond
Andromeda
etc. etc. etc.
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi?
I found the Star Wars animated series, both The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, to be very binge-watchable. Partially because of the shorter episodes maybe.
- What do you like best about scifi?
Beyond telling story, good science fiction should expand your mind and make you think. Often it is a commentary on our current culture, either in hope or in warning, and I find parallels fascinating.
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.)
SPACE!!!!

I'd agree. Sci-fi can often shine a light on current cultural issues far better than anything else. Also it really shows the struggle over and ethical difficulties in regards to many technological and bio-engineering advances.
That's one of the reasons I live it.

Well I'm not watching any that are currently airing at the moment. (The Orville didn't work for me, and I don't have access to Discovery without subscribing to it, which I can't do right now. Do, however have Expanse still on DVR which I've been watching off and on.) I'd have to say Doctor Who.
It's the only one I've been watching consistently and I'm looking forward to the Christmas Special.
- Favorite canceled scifi?
Farscape. While I loved the others as well (Firefly, Lost, BSG, Misfits, Earth 2, Star Trek and all it's offshoots, Sense8), Farscape just grabbed me by guts and would not let go. Its the only one I sought fanfic for.
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi
Farscape. Although Firefly and Sense8 were also quite bingable. But Farscape is the only I've binged three times.
- What do you like best about scifi?
The blend of characters, world-building, plot and tacking of complicated issues from a variety of perspectives. Farscape and Battlestar Galatica for instance both tackled warfare and science in a way that few other shows have come close to. Not to mention religion's role in both.
Also, the blend of philosophical and psychological discourse is hard to find elsewhere.
Sci-fi takes the what if scenario beyond boundaries.
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.)
Space. (I'm a sucker for a good space opera.)

I haven't watched Farscape since it aired, but have had plans to re-watch for ages. One day. :)

Ooh, that's hard to answer. Killjoys maybe?
- Favorite canceled scifi?
No way I could pick just a few. Most aren't on netflix but a few minutes of googling finds few on youtube - Threshold, Farscape, Strange World, the Secret Adventures of Jules Verne and Miracles
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi?
I like stuff that's a mix between episodic and seasonal story arc, although I'd rather it lean towards episodic then rely completely on huge arcing stories that may never be concluded.
- What do you like best about scifi?
the social commentary, the clever world building and interesting characters
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.)
I'll watch nearly any scifi that doesn't rely on jump scares or violence to tell its story.

- Favorite canceled scifi? Star Trek: The Next Generation, Farscape, Space: Above and Beyond. Star Trek and Farscape were two fandoms that literally changed my life. Star Trek introduced me to fandom (I am still close friends with trekkies I met TWENTY YEARS AGO, and Farscape I discovered in 2000 when I was in need of that kind of family. I met my very bestest friend in farscape fandom and it was actually because of her that I got into Legend of the Seeker and landcomms. So I know all of you guys because of Farscape LOOOL. God, when I met Kemper, I cried at him, it was so embarrassing. Virginia Hey is also one of my favorite people. If you haven't tried her handmade soaps, do it!
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi? All of them? Oh my gosh. So much good television in this genre. I can never change the channel when a Star Trek ep (any series except enterprise) comes on, and the same when the older shows are on, Buck Rogers, Lost in Space, original BSG, etc.
- What do you like best about scifi? I love genres that make me use my imagination and take me away from the every day. Science fiction definitely does that.
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.). Hmm, I don't consider paranormal as science fiction, it's more fantasy and urban fantasy to me. What I look for in a good science fiction show is advanced technology (a la continuum) or space (a la every space show EVER). I've been REALLY into time travel things lately. Which is quite insane of me since it always makes my brain hurt with the different theories and all.

The escapism aspect of scifi is definitely a draw these days, what with the world falling apart.

Rick And Morty
- Favorite canceled scifi?
Probably Firefly or Farscape.
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi?
Does Doctor Who qualify as scifi? Or Futurama?
- What do you like best about scifi?
The ability to do anything, go anywhere, be as dumb or as clever as you like.
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.)
I like it weird. Wherever and whenever it's set, I want scifi to surprise me, to discover new narratives.

In conclusion: Blakes7.

Maybe Dirk Gently, which about to start up again, although the genre is perhaps dubious there. I think if the time travel is explained via machine, it counts.
Also Westworld, although who knows when the next season of that will arrive.
Favorite canceled scifi?
I will always love and miss Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ;_;
Somewhat more recently, I really like Revolution – although that's a less frustrating cancellation because at least it ended in a reasonably satisfying place!
What do you like best about scifi?
I like the kind of big question stories that get told in sci-fi. I think anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with AI, for one. Questions of personhood and embodiment, good AI parenting, that sort of thing. Ways of relating to other species, and what kind of behaviour is ethical (particularly if the relationship is antagonistic). A lot of themes that would just be incredibly depressing in a real world setting ...
I mentioned Revolution, but that's one where the sci-fi elements aren't as important to me (and in fact put me off watching it originally!). But I really love the characters and their relationships, and seeing them develop.
What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi?
Robots are a genre, right? Anything with robots.

I recently saw some vids for Dirk Gently that made me want to see the show - it looks entertaining!

Outlander, The Expanse and Star Trek Discovery is quite promising thus far. And before anyone says Outlander is not SF, well, you're wrong, it is. The time travel is NOT magic -- by book 8, a scientific explanation is being put forward re: how the stones work as portals. So Outlander is many, many genres, including SF.
Favorite canceled sci-fi?
ST Deep Space Nine. Fringe. Life on Mars. Ashes to Ashes.
What do you think is the most binge-watchable sci-fi?
That is totally subjective. I mean, I would say Outlander -- it did win an award for being the most binge-worthy show, but someone else might watch 1-2 episodes and decide it's crap, yes? But any of the shows I've listed above I've binge-watched many times.

I haven't watched the series, but read the first 2 or 3 books several years ago. I do think the genre is subjective, so many things could be argued as science fiction.

While I like The Expanse, this definitely has to be Killjoys.
- Favorite canceled scifi?
Fringe and Space: Above and Beyond.
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi?
I find binge-watching quite hard when it comes to anything above sitcom length shows, as I tend to get bored partway through episodes and wander off...
- What do you like best about scifi?
Striking the balance between dealing with new experiences in a believable way (alternate universes, for example) and also relating those experiences to the world we live in. Also robots. ;)
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.)
I think the world we already live in is plenty dystopic, thanks very much, so I much prefer my scifi out in space and/or in the future.

It'd could've been a fantastic multi-season series, there were still so many things to explore.

Mr. Robot.
- Favorite canceled scifi?
Star Trek:DS9, Babylon 5, Firefly
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi?
Every now and then I get out my DS9 DVDs and binge watch. Honestly, if I like a show, I can binge watch it.
- What do you like best about scifi?
Its speculative nature, the way that it at least embraces the ideas of science and technological innovation, and it's generally about the future.
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.)
I like hard science fiction a lot and stuff that seems like it's only a few years away. But I also love a good space opera. I like sci fi that tackles big questions about philosophy, religion, politics, what it means to be a sentient creature. And robots!

Probably Killjoys. Still haven't watched The Expanse, though, so that may yet win out. And we'll see how the new season of Doctor Who goes.
Favorite canceled scifi?
How do I choose? Early Battlestar Galactica, maybe? But also Star Trek and Stargate and Farscape and Firefly and Babylon 5 and Earth: Final Conflict and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.
What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi?
I think SG1 is pretty watchable that way.
What do you like best about scifi?
Exploring the what-ifs and the possibilities. Though I'm also fond of spaceships and cool costumes.
What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.)
Space! Definitely space.
no subject
- Favorite canceled scifi? Firefly probably. Although I was very fond of SGU as well.
- What do you think is the most binge-watchable scifi? Space adventures with a largely episodic format but a bit of an arc (like a Big Bad each season and each episode may touch on that but will not necessarily be all about that)
- What do you like best about scifi? The endless possibilities.
- What is your favorite 'flavor' or sub-genre of scifi? (ie. dystopia, space, paranormal, etc.) I do like me a dystopian or disaster scifi movie but not tv show. With tv shows I want found families and space or "case of the week" type shows (for example, Fringe or Believe- I really liked Believe).
I reserve the right to change my mind on all of these answers at any time.
