I haven't seen the Lessons in Chemistry finale yet, but I can recommend the show overall. It's excellent! :-)

I know nothing about the show but the book's synopsis sounded rather bleak. That's the main reason why I haven't given it a chance yet.

It deals with some heavy subjects, but it also has plenty of joy and humour. Brie Larsen is amazing, and the supporting cast is also excellent.
