Fall 2023 Preview
AV Club just dropped their Fall TV Preview. (There's a "list slides" option after the opening slide if you don't want to click through all of them.)
Anything you're looking forward to?

I had no idea there was a show in the works for All The Light We Cannot See and I will probably check that out - the book was amazing.
For All Mankind is definitely on my radar, I'm currently watching season 3. Star Trek: Lower Decks because it's such a fun ride. And I will probably watch Loki & Echo because ever since lockdown a few of us watch shows together and we tend to watch Star Wars and Marvel content the most.
I gather that most of these shows were already filmed and have just been in post-production. Still... it's rather surprising to find so many things coming out.

So is All the Light We Cannot See ( didn't know they were doing it as a series either), and been looking forward to Echo for a while now.
There's a lot of shows on that. Something for literally everybody. Curious about Edith Wharton's The Buccaneers.

I'm AMUSED the Mr. & Mrs. Smith is finally happening, having seen the not-picked-up pilot with Jordana Brewster AGES ago.

* Changeling
* The Other Black Girl - adapted from a book that a friend read and loved
* All the Light We Cannot See - also from a book friends have read and liked, great cast - Hugh Laurie and Mark Ruffalo
* I may have to watch Invincible
* Fall of the House of Usher (I like Mark Flanagan, and Poe is hard to miss)
* The Buccaneers - Edith Wharton's book as a series
* The latest installment of Fargo
* The Morning Show - have to catch up on that
* For All Mankind (on my queue for a while now...)
* Loki (looks better than expected)
* Echo (been waiting a while on)
* The Gilded Age (maybe)
* Lessons in Chemistry (Science + Cooking Show - interesting)
I can't remember the others. There's a lot of television shows that I've not seen...or heard of.

Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters: I hadn't realized there was going to be a TV show on Monarch. This could be exciting.
A couple of others I may check out are The Buccaneers and The Continental.

The splash screen of The Continental looks compelling, but not going to check it out. Sadly, John Wick is terrible for people with photosensitivy. I wish I could get into it, but I cannot.
The Fall Of The House of Usher. It's Mike Flannigan so I'll check it out.
Fellow Travelers! Yes, I've been looking forward to that for a long time. Man, did the production get a long of delays?
Fargo, isn't there I reason I wanted to give it another chance? Dammit, they've cast Joe Keery. I will check out season 1. I tried twice and could not make it through the Fargo movie.
I will probably at least check out Monarch and All The Light We Cannot See

Agree on the Changeling (apparently adapted from a book) and Fall of the House of Usher. (I don't remember Fellow Travelers.)

I think Fellow Travelers was announced a long while back. I'm looking forward to it

I've also had people quote that movie to me to death - I don't get it.

What I'm watching despite not being particularly hyped:
- Sex Education S4 - Really disappointed with season 3 and it didn't get better when I heard about some of the cast exits... but, well, it's the final season.
- The Fall Of The House Of Usher - I will watch this one for Rahul Kohli, T’Nia Miller, Annabeth Gish, and Carla Gugino.
- Invincible S2 - Don't even know why. Hope it will be better than S1.
Will definitely not watch any AppleTV show because I really didn't enjoy the service during my Ted Lasso S3 subscription. That said, I'll probably change my mind when either Severance S2 or Shrinking S2 drops.

All the Light We Cannot See
Murder at the End of the World
Lower Deck s04
The Changeling
For All Mankind s04
On my own list, I also have:
Welcome to Wrexham s02
The Killing Kind (mini series based on Jane Casey's great standalone novel of the same title -- starts September 7 on... Paramount maybe? I'll just torrent it)
3 Body Problem (potentially Jan 2024)
Outlander s07 part 2 (early 2024)
True Detective: Night Country
I might check out the Darryl Dixon Walking Dead spin off as Darryl was my fave character on the show... but I never finished watching the original series (stopped after season 8 I think). Don't know if one needs to know how the main series ended for this one.
Might also check out Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters.
The Continental semi-interests me, but I've seen only one of the John Wick films and don't LOVE them, so... dunno.

✔ Changeling — Urban fantasy and LaKeith Stanfield!
✔ The Continental — This looks fun! Plus I enjoy the John Wick cinematic universe.
✔ Gen V — Give me that sadistic The Boys energy forever, please and thank you.
✔ Loki — Ke Huy Quan! Enough said.
✔ The Fall of the House of Usher — I can never get enough Flanagan.
✔ All The Light We Cannot See — Maybe this will inspire me to finally finish the book.
✔ Invincible S2 — You should have died at birth, indeed. (I cried at the Atom Eve special, okay. I mean, I almost cried. I felt a feeling.)
✔ Scott Pilgrim Takes Off — I... did not expect them to get the original cast back for the voices.
✔ Echo — I did not watch Hawkeye but I'm ready to watch the shiz out of this.
✔ Monarch: Legacy of Monsters — Godzilla! I'll take it.
But, like, I'm barely a TV watcher. So while I'd like to say I'll watch all of these, I probably will only get around to four or five at most.
