Sadly no. It only had one season even though it was awesome.

It would be a bar scene akin to the schwarma fest.

XD Alex Kingston, Holly Hunter, Helen Mirren,... There are so many great actresses we don't see enough of on TV, and who deserve their own shows.

Yeah, I don't get it. I was so bummed when they cancelled Prime Suspect. She was amazing in it. I see she's on NCIS now. Might watch it again just for her. :)

I need to watch S2 of Stranger Things soon because there's so much out about it I'm going to get spoiled otherwise.

Ha! Eleanor and Rebecca would indeed be a potentially horrifying yet hilarious matchup.

You're assuming they all survive the week ;) And very importantly we absolutely do not let any of them run for office.

I never got into the NCIS shows. I don't even know why. I *heart* Mark Harmon. I think the cases were a bit too violent/gross for me. But maybe I will check it out, just for her. I haven't seen her since her ER days.

Yeah, for real! It's nearly impossible to stay unspoiled these days. Even official sites and news stories often spoil MAJOR plot points just in their titles. I don't understand that. I can see individual people doing that out of just carelessness or even deliberately to be cruel. (Takes a special kind of jerk to do the latter.)

But you'd think official sources would know better!

Or movies, yes! If you've shown me 24 "sneak peeks" at what point do I not need to see the movie anymore? I hate the way we've moved from one trailer run a few weeks before the movie gets released to a year's worth of news dribbling out and discussed until you think the movie must have already been out and gone by the time it's actually in theaters.

I just watched him in the Halloween Dancing episode, and he was amazing - that was by far the best of the dance numbers.

Agreed, it was. Very different. Aired in 2011.

Yeah, I've had to skip many posts on FB and DW for the same reason. I plan on binging it this coming weekend. Just have had no time nor been in the mood.

Agreed. I feel like I've already seen Thor: Ragnorack.

Right? Maybe for movies they think the more they show, the more likely people will be to see it? But it's just the opposite. You've got to tease people a bit to catch their attention, but not too much, so as to make them feel like, why bother? It's a delicate balance of showing just enough, but not too much. Now it's like, HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL SEE AND PLEASE COME SEE IT! No subtlety at all.

I wonder if it's because they know that movies these days are either crappy, too expensive, too much of a hassle to deal with people on their cell phones, or some combination of all three? TV seems to have the quality writing these days. And let's face it, it's much easier to pay $10.99 a month for Netflix where you can binge till your eyes burn out in the comfort of your own home, than to pay $12 or more just for one ticket to one show that may or may not be worth it. And again, have to deal with the hassle of parking and or annoying people. A lot of people can't afford that, especially for poor quality.

I don't know. I think if Hollywood would use their imaginations more often instead of churning out an endless assembly line of reboots, revamps, sequels, prequels, books-to-film (not that I don't love some of those, but not everything translates well to film) and comic book adaptations that are more effects and explosions than good stories, people would be more inclined to pay the ever-increasing prices.

Remember that? Remember when movie writers used to actually WRITE and invent stories out of nothing at all? Remember when you could be transported for a few hours by the magic of Story?

But I guess that's a rant for another day!

What TV have you watched this week? 31 Days of Halloween!!! (on Syfy and other channels)

Which character would you like to see in a guest appearance on another show? I would love to see Jack Harkness in pretty much anything.

Would you ever go on a reality show? Probably not. Too much time away, or alternately too much stuff to put up with.

That would actually be interesting, since both can sing.

And agreed on the reality series...although it sounds more like a social psychology experiment than a reality show. (Even though a lot of reality series are amateurish social psychology experiments.)

What TV have you watched this week?

* Good Behavior
* The Gifted
* Lucifer
* The Good Place S2
* Inhumans
* OUAT (which I'm about to give up on...)
* Dancing with the Stars (Halloween episode)
* Dynasty (also about to give up on)
* Grey's Anatomy
* Crazy Ex-Girl-Friend
* Kevin Probably Saves the World (I think I'm the only person watching this...it's a weird show)

Which character would you like to see in a guest appearance on another show?

Not really a fan of cross-overs...but Michael from the Good Place on Lucifer...

Would you ever go on a reality show?

Hell no. Hell is reality television. I honestly don't understand the people who go on these series. I can't even watch them. (With the exception of Dancing with the Stars, Project Runway, Trading Spaces and British Bake-Off. Although right now the only one I enjoy is Bake-Off. Everything else just irritates me.)

They feel like insane social psychology experiments.

Except, I would not mind being on the Great British Bake-Off, but only if I wasn't gluten-intolerant and could eat the goodies.

In a nutshell, why I've only seen one movie in the movie theaters so far this year. And that was with a friend.

In NYC - movies are $15-20 a ticket. It's cheaper to rent them "On Demand" for $5.95 at home. Or watch on netflix streaming or Amazon.

And the text messaging during the show has gotten out of hand.

I'll go see movies that require a big screen on the big screen, but too many of those feel like watching a loud video game.

It's sad. I loved going to the movies ten-fifteen years ago.
Now I find it irritating and rarely go as a result.

Wow, Chicago is up to I think $12, maybe a bit more for IMAX. Sheesh.

Yeah, I hear you. I am in the same boat. The only reason I've been able to see any movies lately is that I'm barely employed part time, so once in a while when I do have a bit of spare cash, I can catch a matinee for $5-6. Other than that, even if I had the money, it's not worth it!

Right? The choreography was fabulous. Lindsey and Jordan's werewolf routine was pretty great too, but more conventional. And Frankie was front and center in the group dance which was also great.
yourlibrarian: Veronica Mars (OTH-VMars-mana1023)

Yes, I was thinking of that too, re: the singing. Of course, they could also go the route where Veronica Mars works as a private detective for the Whitefeather group.

Hee, Michael on Lucifer would be pretty funny alright. I can't think of any competition I'd be any good at. Maybe Pictionary, but that would be more a game show than a reality show.
