Aw, man, I hadn't thought of Maria Bello and Gillian Anderson on a show together! How freaking awesome would that be?

I was going to say, toss Alex Kingston into the mix and it would be perfect! But that would cause screens all over the world to spontaneously combust from hotness and talent. We can't have that.

Speaking of Maria Bello, why isn't she more well known? She's not just gorgeous, but so talented!

XD Alex Kingston, Holly Hunter, Helen Mirren,... There are so many great actresses we don't see enough of on TV, and who deserve their own shows.

Yeah, I don't get it. I was so bummed when they cancelled Prime Suspect. She was amazing in it. I see she's on NCIS now. Might watch it again just for her. :)

I never got into the NCIS shows. I don't even know why. I *heart* Mark Harmon. I think the cases were a bit too violent/gross for me. But maybe I will check it out, just for her. I haven't seen her since her ER days.

Mark Harmon is great but I liked him better in Chicago Hope. His character is very formulaic and predictable in NCIS (much like the show itself) and it leaves little room to showcase all his acting skills. The show woudn't work without him, though.

Maybe that's why it never really clicked with me. It seemed every case/ep was kind of cookie cutter, without getting to know the characters as much as I wanted. I had the same issue with all the CSI shows.

I wanted to get into L&A: SVU because I love Mariska Hartigay on screen. But the cases were so horrific/violent that I just couldn't handle it. And every time I happened to catch it (especially in hospitals, where it seems like the only thing on!) poor Olivia was being tormented in some way! I'm a veteran TV watcher of hard shows, but man, I just couldn't take it. Maybe I just happened to always catch those sadder story arcs, but it was all too stressful for me. Real life is hard enough!
