Indeed! I stopped watching some time after season 1 because I didn't like where the show was going but I'm glad the fans get to see more.

The only one I watch is GRIMM. Glad it's back! It's one of those shows that started off fairly well, but has really become stronger as it's gone on. I was not expecting that! I'm glad it was given a chance.

I've never watched it so was surprised it was already up for a fifth season. Not many shows make it that far nowadays. Kudos to them!

I generally do not take chances on new shows for exactly that reason. I can't stand getting invested in a story and characters, only to have it quickly cancelled and you're left hanging forever!

Unfortunately I can seldom resist for too long so I wait a bit to see if reviews are good and people are getting positive about it before I give it a chance. It has worked pretty well so far. Worst one for me was Rubicon, which nobody watched, but I thought was amazing. That being said I count myself lucky I watched all of Firefly/Serenity afterwards. Hearing it was canceled must have been the worst.

It will be the seventeenth season for SVU. Not that I watch it, but it seemed to have been around for a bit longer than seven years.

I don't even watch it and yet... I'd kind of miss it if it were gone.

I've tried a few times but I can't take how violent it is. (This from someone who's watched all 8 seasons of '24' plus all the specials.) I like Mariska Hartisgay as an actress, but every time I've tried watching or I'm somewhere and it happens to be on, the poor woman is crying and/or having something horrifying done to her. I can't take it!

*nods* The show is kinda of permanently on on one channel or another over here plus I've just read an article on how it indirectly had an impact in RL so yeah. I can't say I make a point to watch it but I think it's a nice show. Haven't watched any ep since Christopher Meloni left, though. Mariska and he made such a great team.

I know! I loved that man! See? I don't think I've ever watched a full episode, but I've kind of absorbed it through the culture.

I thought he was gorgeous, middle aged and balding though he was! (I also thought I was the only one who thought that, but apparently I am not. Silly me!)

He was! He is! And I knew him from Oz where he and Lee Tergesen were just amazing and he was perfect in L & O. There was complete disconnect for me between the two characters. Also got a huge kick out of him being on True Blood even though I didn't really care for that particular storyline.

Yeah, Oz is definitely not my type of thing. But if there's that complete disconnect, it means he's a really good actor. (I've found that to be rather rare.) I'll have to see what else he's been up to!
