CBS Cancels Five and Renews One

I'm sad to say that CBS has handed down and handful of cancellations this afternoon.

Cancelled:

Intelligence
The Crazy Ones
Friends With Better Lives
Bad Teacher
Hostages

And they renewed The Mentalist for a seventh Season.

I'm really disappointed (but sadly, not surprised) that Intelligence got cancelled :(

They renewed the Mentalist? Seriously? I thought wrapping up the whole Red John arc was a sure sign that this was the last season.

I thought so too, they were making it seem like renewal was unlikely and talked about shopping it to other networks if they got cancelled...maybe CBS didn't like that idea, who knows?

I'm not surprised by Intelligence getting the ax. Nor Bad Teacher and Hostages.

However, I'm a tad confused as to why the network pulled the plug on The Crazy Ones. Big name stars, a generally OK sitcom that fits very well within CBS' niche of shows...

Even more perplexing is The Mentalist getting another season. O_o!
