ABOUT THE SHOW
In the high-tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. Mike Judge (“Office Space,” “Beavis & Butthead,” “King of the Hill”) brings his irreverent brand of humor to HBO in the new comedy series SILICON VALLEY. Partially inspired by Judge’s own experiences as a Silicon Valley engineer in the late ‘80s, the show kicks off its eight-episode season this April.*

I watched the first ep and found it interesting enough that I wanna see where they're going with this and know more about the characters. It could go either way.

Ok just watched ep 2 and meh. The bottom line for me is that I don't like anybody on this show and it doesn't look like this is going to get better. Nevermind then.

Wow, the gender balance looks terrible. There are only two recurring female characters listed on IMDb. The one-time female characters play things like "receptionist" and "waitress."

This is one show that I'd don't mind the gender balance as much as I would normally, because it does reflect the culture. They're doing a bit better in S2.

(Although I did read a genderbent!Guilfoyle fic once, and ever since I sort of wished that that was canon. Not that I didn't enjoy male!Guilfoyle's tormenting of Dinesh in S1. :p)
