Man, this episode wrung me out. I had so many different feelings and judgments rolling around in my brain. I had both liked the way Carol had become more complicated as a character and yet was not on board with what she did at the prison. Here I was not on board with some of what she said to Mika in particular, but I understood the connection she was making to the loss of Sophia.
With Lizzie, the last time we saw her, I knew that was going to be a problem. I spent a lot of this episode (I suppose like Carol) wondering about the exact nature of Lizzie's...misunderstanding. Mental illness? Something PTSD-related? It was difficult because I couldn't remember her from earlier in the season. When had this started? Back at the prison, I know. But I even thought about her killing animals and such almost like what budding serial killers do. I know it's not the same thing, but...man. And if she is ill, it seems especially horrible to have to kill her, but what else could they do? I think the mistake was that it wasn't done soon enough, that they let her keep a weapon. It seems like there's no "middle ground" between Lizzie's killing the living and Mika not being willing to kill the living. Is the middle ground Carl? Whatever happened with his killing a living person who'd surrendered?
I'm interested in how Tyreese seemed not to be too much a part of what was going on with the girls. How they made this a mother/daughter type thing.
I didn't expect or wasn't sure Tyreese would find out this episode that Carol was responsible for the murders. At that point in the episode, his reaction didn't surprise me.

Totally harrowing episode.
