The internet is filled with articles with lists of shows that people feel should never have been canceled.
All the lists are a little different, though many of the same shows end up on quite a few of them.

What shows do you feel were canceled before their time? What shows do you miss the most?

The shows that I was watching while they aired that I feel were canceled to soon are: Firefly, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies, Dollhouse, Veronica Mars and Vegas (Vegas was just last year and only lasted a season 2012-2013).

Shows that I didn't discover until after they ended that I feel were canceled too soon: Freaks and Geeks, Terriers, Carnivale, Rome and My So Called Life.

There are probably a few more that I could add to that list but those are the shows that first come to mind.

What shows do you feel were canceled before their time?
Rubicon, Firefly, Now and Again, My So-Called Life, Prime Suspect US, Life.

What shows do you miss the most?
Well, apart from all of these, some shows which ended and I wish had gone on like Futurama, QAF UK, core SG-1, Dharma & Greg, Chicago Hope, Generation Kill.

I remember really liking Chicago Hope and Dharma & Greg when they were on, but it's been so long since I've seen any episodes, they've kind of faded from my mind.

Prime Suspect US! Yes! That was such a good show. :/

Hmm...there are a LOT of shows I think went before their time. That being said, some of them ended on really good notes and that might not have been the case if they'd stuck around. So while I think Nikita, Friday Night Lights, The Borgias and Roswell ended too soon, I wouldn't change the ending we got due to cancellation.


Other shows that shouldn't have been canceled: Firefly, Farscape, Veronica Mars, Wonderfalls, Bomb Girls, Legend of the Seeker, Studio 60, Jericho, Angel, Moonlight, T:SCC, Go On, The Secret Circle, Dollhouse...probably something else I'm forgetting


Then there are shows like Eureka and SGA that got canceled but I didn't care that much because I didn't really enjoy the shows by the time they ended. At least Eureka had a really good series finale.


And then there's SG1, which ran for 10 seasons but my favorite characters didn't show up until the last two. I would've liked at least another season or two with Vala and Cam on the team.

Oh yeah, Angel. I really wish that could have continued too. Not sure how I forgot that. I've never scene Jericho but it's one of those things that keeps popping up that I keep meaning to check out. So many shows, and not enough time to watch them all :)

Jericho is good if you like your post-apocalypse stuff less bleak than the norm. Jericho was very PG about the apocalypse :) It also has some great characters and relationship dynamics.

Yeah Jericho! It was just getting on its feet. I miss it.

And I would watch the Vala-Cam show forever! ;)

While I'm glad we got a 2nd season after they originally canceled it after season 1, I still don't think it was enough. There were too many lingering questions and it needed at least another season to explore all of them. Plus, I just really liked it :)

Yes to that! I admit to not caring that much about SG1 before Vala and Cam came along.

Also I really miss In Plain Sight and wish it could have gotten more time, but I also feel that they gave it a good ending. So I am happy about that.

For a while I've had this urge to write a crossover fic where Mary from In Plain Sight meets Raylan from Justified. They're both US Marshals, and the banter would be awesome.

Once and Again, oh my god this show <3 My So-Called Life (same team behind), Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, American Dreams. All such excellent shows, very realistic and with a lot of heart.
More recently, I still can't believe they cancelled The Hour with this cliffhanger. What a letdown, this was such a fabulous show!

I miss Gilmore Girls the most, but I'll always miss this show it's too much a part of my life.

Gilmore Girls! I love that show! I didn't discover it until it was over though. I might need to rewatch that again soon :)
