Community: Home Base

community poster tv talk

The student body at Greendale Community College is made up of high-school losers, newly divorced housewives, and old people who want to keep their minds active. Within these not-so-hallowed halls, "Community" focuses on a band of misfits, at the center of which is a fast-talkin' lawyer whose degree has been revoked (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), who form a study group and end up learning a lot more about themselves than they do about their course work. In addition to McHale, the series also stars: Gillian Jacobs ("The Book of Daniel"); Yvette Nicole Brown ("Rules of Engagement"); Danny Pudi ("Greek"); Alison Brie ("Mad Men"); and comedy legend Chevy Chase ("Saturday Night Live").

I loved the episode! I thought it was a perfect send off for Troy. I wish Donald Glover wasn't leaving but this was a great way to send him off. It was fun and sad and it left it open for him returning if he wants and if the show gets another season of course.

I loved Britta and Jeff's fight. I love that Britta thought of using make-believe to help Abed too. And Levar Burton at the end was just perfect.

Britta is all about helping people, even when it doesn't work. I love her character because she's complex and sort of hateable and lovable at the same time. It all depends on whether you can forgive her fail or not, and I totally do. I love Britta to bits, and this was a fantastic Britta episode.

Did you see the S5 LotR-style trailer? There is definitely more Britta stuff coming up, and I am curious and a little nervous to see how it plays out.

But yeah, Geothermal Escapism was monumental, and I cried like a baby. If there isn't a sixth season, or if there is but Donald won't come back for at least the very last episode, I feel like I will have to clone myself.
