Community: Home Base

The student body at Greendale Community College is made up of high-school losers, newly divorced housewives, and old people who want to keep their minds active. Within these not-so-hallowed halls, "Community" focuses on a band of misfits, at the center of which is a fast-talkin' lawyer whose degree has been revoked (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), who form a study group and end up learning a lot more about themselves than they do about their course work. In addition to McHale, the series also stars: Gillian Jacobs ("The Book of Daniel"); Yvette Nicole Brown ("Rules of Engagement"); Danny Pudi ("Greek"); Alison Brie ("Mad Men"); and comedy legend Chevy Chase ("Saturday Night Live").

Re: Episode 9 Discussion
Not crazy about the text book storyline; it felt like they didn't know what to do with those characters for this episode. I did laugh at Chang's "confession," though.
I liked Annie and Abed's storyline a lot more, and I'm glad they addressed Troy's absence and how that's affected the two's dynamic. Did we know Annie had a brother? I didn't watch most of last season, so I don't know if he was introduced then. "Pile of Bullets" was hilarious all around, but typically, both Annie and Abed got it. Abed's apology to his girlfriend at the end was sweet. And Annie and Abed briefly considering Britta as a roommate and deciding against it was amusing.
Oh, and the opener with "Payday" Dean made me laugh pretty hard.
