Once Upon a Time: Home Base

This is the home base for Once Upon a Time!!!

This wonderful show is currently in its third season.
Season three has been split into two 11 episode mini seasons.
Each with their own story arc.

Part one of season three has already aired.
Part two starts March 9th 2014.
It should air every Sunday for 11 weeks in a row.
Once Upon a Time airs Sundays 8pm EST in the US on ABC

I really loved the Regina and Snow interactions.
They really have come a long way.
I loved the Outlaw Queen kiss at the end. I'm glad Regina listened to Snow.

I'm sad for Hook :(

I don't feel bad for Cora though. She could have kept Zelena. It was only her greed for wanting to be royalty that made her give her up. She put herself first. She even said it was to give herself her best chance. Her best chance at being a royal. Whatever. No sympathy there. I understand wanting to not be poor, but to have to be royalty?

And of course the joke is on her considering that she gave up a baby who was an incredible magic user from infancy and could have gotten them out of poverty.

Emma practicing magic and trying to cheer Hook up/show off for him was cute too.

REGINA AND ROBIN MADE OUT. :D

I also loved Regina and Snow starting to actually bond and MOVE ON from their decades of anger at each other.

I know... Regina has more love in her without her heart in her chest, than Cora ever did with her heart.

One thing I just thought of that confused me a little, if Prince Leopold almost married Cora once, how come he acts like he doesn't know her later when he marries Regina and she and Cora move into the castle and all that? (Or am I remembering the early seasons wrong?) I mean, real answer is, back when they wrote those scenes they didn't anticipate doing this backstory of Leopold almost marrying Cora, lol.. I was just left a bit confused after it all.

My guess is that she erased his memory of ever meeting her. It's not as if that isn't a common theme on this show and it was well within her capabilities at that point.

Hah, good point. We'll go with that. :D

You came very close to calling it!

I absolutely do feel for Cora; she lives in a setting where she wouldn't have a lot of realistic options for making her way and getting out of poverty other than marrying into nobility. And then there's also the total lack of power that, understandably, gets to her, as when Eva makes her kneel in The Miller's Daughter (I'm really confused – that must take place after what we saw in this episode, but Eva seemed younger?). Leaving Zelena was terrible (did she know about the magical storm? or did she just leaving her there to die?), no disagreement here, but I like her backstory and I do have sympathy. (And sympathy aside, she's horrible but I love her.) Zelena herself makes more sense to me now too.

Snow and Regina were wonderful. Actually, Regina is all-around fantastic this season, imo.

Belle's reaction to Regina made me happy. :D

Does anyone remember, did Snow find out that Cora killed her mother in that episode where we do? I remember thinking neither she nor Regina ever did, but in this episode they clearly know.

I believe that Cora told her, or hinted and Snow figured it out in the clock tower when Cora was about to or had just thrown Johanna to her death. When they were fighting over the Dark One dagger. That's what I remember anyways. Regina was also there at the time.

Yeah, I had that thought too - I'm glad I can believe he at least came close. And, yes, David would. xD

Thoughts, Feelings, Etc...

Just some quick thoughts on the episode for now (not feeling great today)....

Aurora and Philip got turned into flying monkeys!!!

More Outlaw Queen kissing :)

Regina referring to Hook as "the handless wonder" :(

Henry remembering! And then Regina getting their memories back by kissing him...Henry and Regina reunited in general!!!

Snow cast the curse????!!!! She crushed Charming's heart? Holy Crap! And then Regina splitting Snow's heart so they can share! After Zelena throws in the memory loss into the spell pot.

Ugh! Zelena. She took a memory potion and then gave the other bottle to Rumple to remember or not....his choice. And he was going to drink it and then Neal took over and wrote the note to Hook and sent him the potion. Fuck, why is this show making me like Neal more now when he's dead?

I had the feeling that either Neal or Rumple sent the note. I thought Rumple was a more likely candidate because of the access to the memory potion but at the same time I didn't think he'd send word to Hook of all people. I guess I was partly right on both counts.

Neal knew that Hook would do what Neal himself didn't do when getting a note about Emma/the curse. I'm glad he had that insight, that clarity. I'm proud of him.

We still don't know how Hook crossed worlds yet, but I have a guess. I won't share it here though.

I'm sad with Emma not trusting Hook and the Charmings ganging up on him :( If he had told Emma and Zelena found out, she was going to start killing Emma's family. What was he supposed to do? He put his life at risk for Henry. I hope Henry sticks up for him in the next episode.

Now that he has his memories back and sees everything in context, I think he might.

I loved Henry thinking it was cool that Mom Regina is dating Robin Hood :)

A lot went on in this episode. I need to watch again probably.

I will say, what the hell Rumple? What kind of proposal is that? You deflect the promise to not go after Zelena and then give your love a fake dagger along with the proposal? What? That kind of takes some of the romance away.

Poor Belle.

I'm glad Rumple's back though...but what did he do? That doesn't seem like a good thing? Is that a plan Zelena put in place as back up, or something else?

Snow and Charming have a boy and lose him a second later...I was glad that they got him back though.

I don't like Emma not caring about Henry having a say in where they live...she's not his only mother. I love Emma, but she only raised Henry for one year, I understand why she would want to keep and protect that, but obviously Henry wants to be with all of his family.

I think she's running away from her feelings for Hook...at least in some ways. It's not the whole of it, but it's part of it I think.

I have no idea where they are going with this show.

I have so many feelings!!!

I called it with Outlaw Queen. I knew that was going to happen. I didn't know they'd bring his wife back, but I figured they'd save her. And as much as I enjoyed outlaw queen, I can't blame Emma for saving someone's life. And as much as I'd like Regina to find her happiness...possibly she shouldn't have had so many people killed.

Okay, maybe that's the vodka talking, or the Captain Swan high, but it was Regina who was responsible for Robin's wife's death in the original timeline. No one knowing, doesn't make it not true.

I liked that Emma saved herself. I love that not only is Captain Swan timeless, but the Captain Swan brotp is timeless now too ;)

She called him Killian when they weren't in danger and we got confirmation that he traded his ship to find a way to her.

I feel weird about the Rumbelle wedding. Because of the dagger lie thing. But it was sweet too.

I liked having Neal in the finale. I like that Emma learned what home meant from him. I may not have liked him much while he was alive, but since he's been dead, I've liked him a whole lot more.

On the other hand I was creeped out by the fact that Emma's little brother is named after her dead ex-lover/father of her child, but whatevs...

And Frozen???? They're actually bringing in Frozen next season? I have no idea how they're working that out, but wow!

I'm kind of excited.

Why the hell did Rumple have her in his vault though.

And speaking of Rumple, I was really worried that he wasn't going to let Emma go in time to go through the portal, but he did. And he drank the forgetting potion (that seems to be so common amongst magic users in FTL).

Hook being jealous of himself was priceless.
Captain Swan make out session was awesome.

I think I am happy with the season finale. I'm sure a lot of people won't be, but I am pleased.
I may survive hiatus even ;)

That is so true. A lot of her misery is caused by her own hand - maybe she hasn't yet learned the lesson of "actions have consequences"! You'd think as many times as she's had her deeds from the past come back to bite her, she'd start doing things a little differently.

My jaw hit the floor. And if they're going to have Elsa (I wonder who's playing her?), can we *please* have Kristen Bell on the show as Anna? That would be awesome.

I really don't understand why Rumple would continue lying to Belle at this point, so I'm pretty much giving him side eye like whoa. I don't know if I can root for them as a couple at this point.

And I guess we are getting the return of the Evil Queen? Wonder how Henry's gonna feel about that.

I thought the finale was good. Still having a lot of thoughts so I'm going to need to re-watch it, but I'm really looking forward to next season.

The Regina/Robin this is so annoying. I hate love triangle melodramas, and don't really see how this will end well for Marian. Since the show prioritizes true love and Robin/Regina are each other's true loves, by following the show logic, it should end happily for Robin/Regina and Marian will get screwed over. But at the same time, I'm glad that there's some drama for Robin/Regina because it was too neat and tidy for them and their relationship unbelievable because of it. It was a strange romance plot for such a major character, so I guess this is going to be the real storyline for Robin/Regina.

And way to go, Rumple... starting out your marriage by lying to Belle....
