I'm really enjoying Richard Gadd's Half Man, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone because it deals with really heavy topics. Still, I'm looking forward to the remaining three episodes! This week's episode was also pretty dark.

Spoilers for episode 3 Every week the theory of Ruben being a child sexual abuse victim becomes more plausible. The scene where he and Niall discuss the fake groping totally felt like he was talking about something else. This Tumblr post really summarises how I feel about Ruben as a character.

Otherwise, I'm still participating in the weekly Blake's 7 rewatch over at GPSC, and we've only just started season 3 again. It's such a big change in the show, but I do love this season.

The Gauda Prime Social Club! It's a discord. Alas I can no longer hang out there because when I got a new computer discord refused to let me access GPSC.

How frustrating! Are there a lot of Blake's 7 groups still active?

Oh no! I was wondering where you were. Could you try on another device? That's such a shame ):

It's a Blake's 7 Discord server! I actually first heard about it on this comm from another member.

Watched a little more of Brawn and Starfleet Academy. Jeopardy also made another Alex Trebek episode available on Hulu, and there was another episode of Celebrity Jeopardy as well as another week of regular games. Colbert is back and I enjoyed his episode with Barrack Obama at the new presidential library.

Finished off the Secret History of the Mongols which was fairly unsatisfying. It was one of those with re-enactments and they all seemed the same after a while. Also, while I understand the scope was to discuss the empire that was established it was a lot of military campaign this and military campaign that. Still, it was a historical period I knew next to nothing about so it was interesting on that front.

Also finished up Percy Jackson, Daredevil Born Again, Soccer Meets America, and High Country which I wrote about. And I watched a documentary on Joan Baez's life which I wasn't very taken with. I was particularly curious since I had watched A Complete Unknown last year and was interested to see her take on the same events but there wasn't a lot of it there.

Began the first episode of Maul, and I don't have much to say about it yet, other than to note how animation keeps improving. Such a contrast to Clone Wars, Rebels and even early Bad Batch. (Probably particularly notable since Maul is a character in those first two). Also began watching Exile and will likely finish that this weekend.

For May the Fourth, we began a Mandalorian rewatch and got through half of S1. I don't know that we'll go any farther than S2 (especially as I rewatched S3 and S4 last year). But as it's the first time I've seen it again it was interesting to see what I did and didn't remember.

I haven't continued my re-watch of Interview with the Vampire, but two finales happened last week!

Let's start with Watson. I have said it many times, the show isn't that good. The writing is over-the-top, unrealistic, and downright questionable at times. The finale dialed that way up. Wow. I can't remember the S1 finale, but this one was a lot. It was filled with cliffhangers, overdramatic turns (including a breakup that came a bit out of nowhere and seems unnecessary). I don't think the finale cleared anything up. In the second half they throw in Suzy Eddie Izzard playing a pretty interesting character who will now go absolutely nowhere. The way Watson (was it Watson?) found her character was also ridiculous.
Overall, I enjoyed the show. It was bad but entertaining. However, I don't think I'll miss it.

Daredevil: Born Again's finale on the other hand was amazing. I have no idea what the general consensus is, but I loved it. I watched the last two episodes on Thursday, so I was already spoiled for one rather big thing, but without knowing the context, it was fine. I would be pretty mad if this show wasn't renewed. The finale set up some interesting things for next season.
spoilersObviously we didn't get to see Jessica and Luke's relationship develop, but was the finale hinting at them getting a spin-off?

Speaking of relationships, the show still could not get me to like Matt/Karen. I'm sorry, I don't see it. There is no chemistry there and I don't see a reason for them to be together. Marvel loves to shoehorn in a romance, but this is attempt number 2 for them, maybe try something else? I mean, I don't know what people think. I saw so much more online when the show was still on Netflix.
