Kira is LITERALLY made of adorable and I want to see more of her.

The first 10 minutes were kind of horribly terrifying?? Dream!Lydia telling Stiles to leave the door, that it was okay and looking freaked out had me yelling at the screen and equally freaked out.

I REALLY ENJOYED THIS HORROR MOVIE. i MEAN EPISODE OF TW

LOVE the uncanny sense of dread created by not knowing if you're awake. LOVE LOVE LOVE Stiles' freaking out, being comforted by his dad! And his forearms and their extreme manliness. And Scott yelling at his dad, for what he did to Stiles' dad!!

Glad to see Kate again, but the style they chose to use for her was off putting. Too outright ~scary. Why not be spooky, like with Stiles?

Also, I can't be the only one who DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SCOTT AND HIS ALPHANESS omg shut up already. I don't know why, but his storylines put me right to sleep.

But I am excited to see what happens between him and the new girl. Kira? (sp?) He seems to have a THING for new girls. One could almost call it a fetish.

lol YAY for Peter and Derek getting tortured. Thought that was a brilliant note to go out on. Especially since in this show, it seems like Derek's being tortured is essentially comic relief. lol me and my psychotic uncle are like a latter day Crosby and Hope. Martin and Lewis! we are full of SHENANIGANS

ahahah i don't mind scott's storyline, i think its cool he's losing his humanity, whereas Allison is losing her ability to defend and Stiles his mind, its where they are strongest. Love Stiles & Allison most though.

I am just so thrilled that I actually liked both episodes so far. I am genuinely having fun watching this show again. I did not dare hope after 3a's clusterfuck.

Why is it Halloween though? Oh right, because the ratio is what, 22 eps=~3 weeks. Is Stiles' voice changing? I'm weirdly looking forward to him becoming a silver fox. Just hopefully not on this show.

Finally someone remembers Boyd was murdered! I think the writers have been trolling tumblr.

The one thing this show gets right is its ultra low-key approach to Teh Gay. I was so excited to see Danny be a motivating factor for Evil Twin #2, even though I don't wanna see the twins anymore. I wonder if Isaac will come out as bi, or if they'll make it canon that being pack has a sexual component to it. Isaac's yelps are adorable. I like how they played it with him and Allison--totally against my expectation, which was that Isaac would be all soulful and sweet. Oh no, I forgot: he can be ~sassy, too. lolllll ohai Mr. Argent. Saying what we are all thinking, yeah. Another werewolf is probably not so good, being as you're the head of your werewolf killing clan and whatnot, but I mean, look: if she ruled out ALL the supernatural beings her family's been trained to kill, that would leave...basically Stiles.

And also Danny is a PLAYER. :D

Lydia's powers!!! <3 <3 <3 I want to see them develop, but ew gross, the tumor popping. I was eating damn it. But why is she making out with evil twin #1? Doesn't she care that he's a murderous evil twin? I love how casual and easy she is with Stiles. They're such a great team! Why does Lydia hate the nice guys? I mean, what else could it be, she's seen him with his shirt off, so she's aware that he is at least equally as hot, if not more than, the ETs.

Ahahhahah, I love that when she screams, Scott and Stiles both flinch. That's RIGHT. Better step back. Holland Roden is really pretty amazing. She can do so many facets, all showing at the same time.

I hope Stiles stays human. He's like the heart of the group. Well, and the brains. It's funny that the alpha takes advice from a human. In a way, Stiles is the alpha, if you think about it. Or at the very least, the consigliere.

The Pervy Uncle Peter and Derek show!! These two need to book a weekly gig. I'd pay. But ew what, Derek's mom's claws? Noooo. Derek's moment with his mom was heartbreaking tbh. What are they looking for? Do we know yet? Did I miss something? And WHAT did Derek learn???

Kira is adorrrrrable. And smart! And her dad is awesome. And her 'nice clothes' entails a flannel :D but um, awkward sexy date action in front of the parents. So open minded? She's been the damsel in distress two eps running. Allison should take her aside and mention something. (Notice how Allison is no longer in danger on a weekly basis?) Now that she's got magic electricity-sucking powers, maybe she'll start kicking some ass. Maybe she'll rescue Scott for a change!

There sure is a lot of addressing race issues in this ep. Golly. It's almost like the writers have been trolling tumblr.

Is it me, or was this ep really really good?? I NEED TO KNOW what is going on with the creepy shadow dudes. And I love that now Lydia, the evil twins, Derek and Isaac are now all mysteriously linked.

And LOL of COURSE everyone else gets discovered and comforted by one of the others, but all Derek gets is a freaking rave in his house. Poor woobie.

If Derek didn't want a rave in his home, he should have (a) not chosen a bunch of teenagers to make into werewolves, and (b) have an actual house instead of a weird abandoned... tower... warehouse... loft thing.

lolol true. Derek makes compulsively bad choices. Although I dunno if the Evil Twins are necessarily his fault.

Stiles
Basically this show needs to be the Stiles show 24/7. I was taking notes as I was watching, and then had to erase them all because OMG that is so awesome, Stiles is the bad guy!!! And I love that he doesn't seem to know it. AND that the fireflies, that had seemed to be evil, were actually the good guys. Also, loved all the closeup shots of Stiles' hands, and his crazy eyes.

Does this mean that Stiles has evil minions? Was he the boss of the weirdo with the horrible fly tumor?

The scene with Scott's mommmmmm thoughhhhh agghhhhhh That was so well DONE. And what does this mean with regard to Claudia Stilinski?? I need to KNOW. Is it just fanon that she died of cancer? Or was that the cover story? Did Stiles bring back the evil spirit from 'the other side' or is it inherited? Does this make him a kitsune, or just possessed? And I mean, the omi (sp?) came after him at the hospital, so he pings on the supernatural radar. The question is: has he always been supernatural? I want him to be human! I hope they can exorcise him. I don't want everyone to be magic on this show.

Scott and Kira
Did they just flashback us? WHY. Why is that dreamy? I am lost. So she's known that she's a kitsune all along. Is it inherited? Is she going to battle Stiles?

The Evil Twins are actually kind of sweet about protecting Scott, but that's more than likely due to my intense need to see more pack dynamics. I also like that Scott's messing with them with the 'true alpha' schtick. Also it is awesome to see Derek! Even if I kinda feel weird about him being in Scott's pack (I mean, that's like a whole essay in itself). It's ADORBS that he's following Scott and protecting him. I CANNOT WAIT to see Derek grow and change now that he's not in charge. And how much does he know about all the creatures out there? I hope he'll become a resource now. Maybe he will even communicate!

And while I know that Cora's not around because she has her own show, I wonder if we'll hear more about why she's not around in the show universe?

Oh SNAP "You're a gene donor." SO harsh. Do we know why Raphael was kicked out? I'm bummed that Raphael doesn't get to know about the supernatural yet. I want him to find out, and then bow down to Sheriff Stilinski. (omg I hope this doesn't make the sheriff evil! What if it's a whole family of evil void-kitsune trickster shapeshifters??)

Here is the summary for 3.20:

Stiles is put into a mental hospital named echo house where he believes he will be safe from the Nogitsune. Will he be as far away from it as he thinks or closer than ever? Meanwhile Scott, Allison and Lydia look for a cure for Stiles.

And for 3.21:

Whilst Allison, Derek, Chris and Sheriff Stilinski try to track down Nogitsune, Kira's mother tells the story of the Nogitsune she came to know.

ngl, when they let the grownups ramble about old timey stuff that have flashbacks, I tune out. Also wtf insane asylum/coyote plot.

BUT. on the whole, I am still avidly watching. And honestly, with all of the Derek-insulting-Stiles stuff, gotta be honest: can't wait for them to share a scene together. lol What? It's not like I watch for the plot.

And oh also NEEDS MOAR LYDIA

PACK! Stiles is pack, it's canon now. I can't wait for all the fics. O'Brien is completely amazing, and LYDIA. I am so happy that she's involved with this now.

I LOVED seeing Allison and Kira working together, being badass without awkward tension. And I loved how it seemed like everyone was working out their issues, even if it was induced by totally disgusting nogitsune flies. Man this show it gross.

And so far Danny and Isaac are not dead YAY. I don't understand why they don't just TELL Danny. By now they must realize that knowing about the weird stuff in Beacon Hills is the only thing that keeps you alive.

AND WHAT HAPPENED TO MELISSA??? It seems like maybe Scott's dad isn't a massive jerk? I need to KNOW.

I feel like this is going to be a time that I remember fondly. All of this attention to Stiles as the bad guy they need to protect, all the pack stuff. I feel like they are gonna ruin it. But right now, I am very happy and excited about this ridiculous show.

I was most pleased Lydia at least got to be involved with trying to reach Stiles. And Peter keeps displaying non-sociopathic tendencies towards the few people he gives a crap about! *important to me! even though Jeff is likely to poopoo all over it once he needs a convenient villain*

But now, NOW we better be seeing at least a full fifteen minutes of evil Stiles because goddamn the show has been nothing but an incompetent teasing dillhole about it.

I really want to devote more time to thinking about Peter and Lydia in this ep, especially as framed by all of the other 'retribution' scenes, you know? Like, she's got so much right to kick his ass, and yet she's the only one who doesn't try at least to get vengeance. I want to think about it more, but I'm too busy lol.

Ok, does anyone else want to sit the show down and talk to it about its constant need to kill off female characters (while introducing a disproportionate number of male ones... who even if they're bad never get killed) because, seriously, it needs to stop killing women. Its starting to really annoy me, like it was irritating before with Erica, but now its actually just annoying. It makes me re-evaluate whether I want to put my time into watching a show that sees my gender as easy canon fodder.

(Also, poor Chris: Gerard is still alive but every female member of his family is now dead.)

On other topics:

Seriously did the Sheriff and Stiles both say last week that Scott would be mad at Melissa if he found out the "truth" about why Scott's Dad left... only for the "truth" to be "I was physically violent towards my son while drunk and caused him to have a maybe accident maybe on purpose tumble down stairs leading to unconsciousness and amnesia"? Like why would Scott be mad at Melissa for kicking out a physically violent drunk who had hurt their child? Is the show trying to suggest that its more important for kids to have fathers than it is for kids to have safe places to live? Why don't we ask Isaac about that?

I keep slightly shipping Chris and Derek. All my ships are up in the air this season.

Deputy Parrish was "drawn" to Beacon Hills. After season 3b? When the giant tree stump (Nemeton?) was reactivated and we were told that supernatural things were going to be attracted to the town like its some sort of Hellmouth? Does that make Deputy Parrish supernatural because I'm thinking yep.

I know that Davis et al have been excited about killing someone for the whole season. Between 3A and 3B there was all this stuff hinting he'd kill Isaac. WHY did they kill her? For dramatic "tension"? Did the actress get a better job? Because now since Scott has Kira, there can't just be a girl hanging around who is not needed by the main dude? GRRRRR

Poor Isaac, just when he made a friend, too. And her death scene was really annoying. Like, I got physically angry. "It's perfect, I'm dying as a teenager in the arms of the boy I loved but who now I don't?" Doubtful.

Sigh. Moving on. Yes, I totally am shipping Papa Argent and Derek lol. They have some lovely baggage and toxic history between them, and now they're both the only survivors. I hope they don't write him off the show, now that he doesn't have any teenagers to send into mortal peril anymore.

Conveniently, they kill off Allison and give the new deputy a name in the same ep. Davis, you are so subtle! I wonder what kind of creature/hunter he will end up being?

TBH that the killed someone doesn't really bother me because they do that A LOT and all the promos have kind of desensitised me to it. It started off quite effectively but after about the hundredth week of them going "We're gonna kill someone Mwahahahahahaha" I was starting to get annoyed at the PR campaign, you know. Its more that it was ONCE AGAIN a girl and it was a pointless death. Like honestly, what did her death serve? It didn't save them? The Oni and the Nogitsune are still out there doing whatever and Isaac healed from his wounds and Lydia was fine.

Although I did wonder about Isaac while she was declaring her love to Scott, like, how does Isaac feel since he has basically been her love interest all season? How does Kira feel watching Scott weep over his ex while sort of dating her? It felt like a step backwards to focus on their relationship after months of not really hearing anything about it. They seemed to be doing ok as friends.

I'm half hoping for us still to be stuck in one of Stiles' nightmares. Like they never quite got out of Stiles' mind and this whole ep was a misdirect. I doubt it is but I guess I'm on bargaining right now.

The Chris/Derek fic should be angsty and delicious. But hopefully not too dark. Is it me or is there also a lot of Scott/Stiles fic showing up on AO3 at the moment too? This is not a complaint, just an observation.

Did Parish not have a name already? I thought he did (but I'm not good at paying attention to these things tbh). If he starts building relationships with people on the show he should get to live for a good long while. Even if he's evil. Because evil men only get to temporarily be dead (Peter, Gerard, Deucalion).

Also, I didn't mention Coach above! He was awesome this ep: standing up to bullies, helping the kids, being not dead.

lol yes to all of this. Isaac and Kira watching. Her death being pointless. The nogitsune didn't even follow up their advantage. Randomly they just left once Allison was dead?

Coach! Yes, I liked him. And but oh also what was up with the mental institution chick? Did she help them or not, it's unclear. Weren't they just IN the asylum that she'd run away from? Her thing felt very much like a lot of filler.

I bet there's been more Sciles! I don't tend to read a lot of fic from the tags, but it makes sense since Stiles and Derek have had, what, one scene out of like 10 eps? The ship is getting lonely.

There's only one ep left this season, yes? How exactly do they intend to wrap everything up with just one ep left AND deal with the Allison fallout. Unless the Allison fallout is the way it gets wrapped up by spurring the characters into vengence and violence and unleashing Lydia's powers or something? Which, if that is why they killed her, then FU writers FU.

I'm not sure what she was doing there, or if she helped, or what they did with her once they set off to Oak Creek. Is she still at their house? And, yes, I'm confused. Is Eichen House the same as Oak Creek? If so why was it looking all abandoned? This show needs to work on its clarity, maybe make a sketch of where things are and where they overlap. Like a Teen Wolf bible. Might help with the ages of the actors as well (just why did Kira's mom age so much in the past seventy years when she apparently didn't in the 800 before that? And what does it mean now the tails/sword things have been snapped? Is she dying? Has she lost her powers? Does Kira have sword-things? So Many Questions, so unlikely to get answers).

I just go and look at fic that are completed and "no archive warnings apply" to keep relatively in my happy place while reading. Usually I just look for the pairing I want but, since my ships are all over the place at the moment, I've just been reading what appeals.
