Heard that Jeopardy will be starting a new show on YouTube with influencers. Presumably its archive will remain available, unlike regular Jeopardy which only stays on Hulu for 5 days. I don't know if professional productions have storage limits there?
Finished JFKJr. and Carolyn which really never went anywhere. I think all it showed by the end was how little material they had to work with.
Also finished S1 of The Puzzle Lady, The Gold, and All Creatures Great and Small. Looking forward to S2 of The Gold, wonderful series. All Creatures was what one has come to expect, which is fine by me. My thoughts about Puzzle Lady mostly veer towards wardrobe and decor, which, if I'm noticing it, already tells me it's unusual. Will probably write a little something about that this week.
Also finished Happiness, and as the final episode is about the opening night I had more fun with it. Still not sure I'm going to do a S2 but it depends on if they do another musical.
Saw another few episodes of Count of Monte Cristo, and I'm enjoying it more. I told my partner I am reminded of the opening to the Python lumberjack sketch with the bloodthirsty barber.
I am up to Ep 2 of The Copenhagen Test which looks like it might be twisty. I hope so because a lot of it is very flat for me so far. I am on the last episode of Day of the Jackal, which I have enjoyed quite a bit. It's a beautifully done production and I find it interesting how I go back and forth in who I'm rooting for. Never read the book or seen the original film so I've no idea where they're headed or how much they changed.
In movies, I saw Benediction, a film about the WWI poet, Siegfried Sassoon. I suspect that the director wanted to make the equivalent of a visual poem but the movie needed some coherence so we had segments from his life. My favorite part was his sessions with a therapist played by Ben Daniels. I wish at least half the movie had been that instead.
Also saw Song Sung Blue which I wrote about (warning: spoilers).
Given we now have Peacock (presumably for free) I am likely to start watching stuff from there, but the ads are driving me crazy. Will try to finish up a few things on Hulu and Disney+ as well.

Top End Bub (by an Aboriginal writer/actress, it's about a divorce lawyer whose nurse sister dies suddenly in a car accident, and she has to move to Darwin to take care of her niece)
I'm currently watching Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen, a Netflix horror miniseries. It's about an engaged couple who travels to visit the groom's family and marry in the family home. The first episode didn't fully convince me, but I thought it got a lot better with episodes 2 and 3.
Went to the cinema for Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die, and it's probably my favorite thing I've seen in 2026, so far. Very funny and freaky. A bit like PG 13-Cronenberg meets Black Mirror?
I've started watching Girl Rules, a new Thai GL. There's not much of an external plot; it's all about the messy relationships between these ladies. But I really like the first three episodes so far.
I stumbled across The Librarians while flipping channels on my TV last weekend, and that seems like a fun show. (I hear it's based on a movie? But I haven't seen it either.) I'm gonna try to catch a few more episodes tonight.
OMG I was so very much into The Librarians! I hadn't seen the movies it's based on either, but you can watch the show without having seen them. (I found them a bit cheesy so never really tried hard to watch them all even after I got into the show).
I have written a review for it, if you want to know more about it, and then proceeded to make thousands of icons...
Ohh thank you for the links 😊 I'm really enjoying it so far! I realized as I was watching last night that I have stumbled into the middle of season three 😅 but it's not too confusing. I'm definitely gonna keep watching. Did you have a favorite character?
Did anyone watch season one of Alien Earth? I know I'm late, but I wondered what everybody thought of it. I hear season two starts filming in May. I'm looking forward to it. My hubby is in shock that I liked it. I watched all the episodes in two nights.
I was surprised to find myself watching Alien Earth, too. What I said on my journal was "(which was engaging and funny in a lot of ways, and also, you know, HORROR. *covers eyes* Idk if I'll come back for season 2)." FWIW. ;)
My husband and I loved it. He hardly ever watches anything on TV, and it often takes us months to get through something because it's so difficult to get him to sit down to watch an episode, even of shows he says he likes, but with Alien: Earth, we'd watch each episode weekly and he would rewatch them with some friends of his online.
A couple more episodes of The Madison, which continues to be extremely pretty but I'm not sure it has anything to say beyond "country living is better than living in the city", which eh.
The Pitt -- the week-by-week release is undercutting the tension, and it's still REALLY TENSE.
The third episode of RJ Decker. We're giving up on it. It's fine, but not worth the time.
Scrubs (we've gone back to the start), Cheers, Paper Girls, another episode of Dinosaur, more of Fringe season 4, and Bluey.
In Kdramas, I finished Undercover Miss Hong last night. It's fun, though I felt it lost steam towards the end. Nearly finished my rewatch of One Spring Night. Not sure what I'm watching next.
It's in my category of shows you can have on in the background while doing other stuff / when you don't have the energy to watch anything that requires a working brain.
Decker -- I have zero interest in Madison. I can't do audiobooks or podcasts -- I just forget I'm supposed to be paying attention and they just become background noise. I need visuals, so words on a page or else TV.
I skipped last week because I didn't watch anything last week *sob* except for an ep of The Company and ep 7 of Bridgerton *literal sob*.
Bridgerton first: now finished, watched eps 407 and 8 in the last two weeks with the watchalong, and cried our eyes out for ep 7 and then unexpectedly cried again about ep 8. I think they did a great job making the season work, despite the Cinderella setup. All the ensemble plots pulled it together, and all the jabs at society helped, and while the ending conceit did not seem plausible, I wasn't invested in it enough to argue. I liked this season much more than I thought I would, the cameos by Kate and Anthony and Colin and Penelope's continued presence were wonderful. I thought Francesca was a bit all over the place, but I liked her storyline a lot, too. I'm not sure what to think about Violet, but it was certainly unusual for the expected Bridgerton theme, so I'm surprised but not put off. My favorite *by far* was the Queen this season.
Now for the cdramas:
I'm on ep 24/30 of The Company, and still very much enjoying the romance vibes. Their loving glances are so great, I am actually considering watching more of the older ML's work just to see him make that face again. He's very good at longing.
I realized that The Long Ballad has 49 eps instead of 48 as I previously thought, so I have two left, not one. \o/ I watched half of 48 this week, and while it was supremely illogical, I very much enjoyed making screencaps of Wu Lei's face and of the braids flying during the fights. :D And now that I've watched another half episode, I can let it lie for a few more weeks, postponing the inevitable end. (I love that show entirely too much.)
Yes, I think this season of Bridgerton was a mold breaker in the many different storylines and follow-up with past couples. Ironic given that the initial setup for the season seemed very traditional.
I started season four of Dark Winds, and watched season 2 of Ellis. Those were the only new things I watched. Otherwise it was the weekly episodes of on-going series (Outlander, The Pitt, Allegiance, Will Trent and all the others I've mentioned in past weeks).
Oh, I did also watch the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live UK. It was -- like any other episode of the regular Saturday Night Live I've ever seen -- some skits were funny, some were so-so, and some failed miserably! But I think it has potential, and I hope it's given a chance. Probably unfortunate that it's on a paid streaming service in the UK (Sky) rather than Channel 4 or the BBC, etc. That will limit its audience.
Oh yes, I read about that! I watched the cold open and Tina Fey's opener and thought they were both fine. Certainly a huge cost and gamble given that I understand such shows are fading out in the UK.
I just finished season 3 of Dark Winds on Netflix, and wondering if I'm the only one entertaining some more (inter)action between Jim Chee and Shorty Bowlegs. *eyebrow waggle* Apart from that I'm excited to hear there'll be more of the show! Have you read the books?
I have not. I find I can't motivate myself to read a series after I've seen the adaptation. I may try Anne Hillerman's Chee and Manuelito series, however.
Just finished s2 of Deadloch - so good! S1 of The Pitt - markedly less so. Continuing rewatch of s3 of Buffy. Ep 2 of PONIES - weird show so far. Haley is really making it, the rest of it is hit or miss.
