This past week I pretty much binged The Beauty, and absolutely loved it. It's about two FBI agents investigating the spread of a sexually transmitted disease that transforms infected parties into physically perfect specimens -- before it makes them spectacularly dead. I've seen it described as body horror, and it does bring to mind the Demi Moore flick, The Substance, but it's also satire, funny, at times over the top, a bit sci-fi-ish and just loads and loads of fun. The only negative thing I will say about it is that it ends on a spectacular cliff-hanger (ARGH!), and there's no word yet about a season 2 (DOUBLE ARGH!!). But that aside, I highly recommend it, unless you're easily grossed out by special effects.

That's the only new thing I watched. Otherwise it was weekly episodes of current shows, e.g. FBI, Will Trent, High Potential, Law and Order Toronto, Allegiance, The Pitt and Outlander. I enjoyed this week's ep of Outlander more than last week's, which I found a bit... disjointed or something. It was also Catriona Balfe's directorial debut, but I don't know that my issues with the episode were because of her direction choices, or if it was just the episode in general.

I am looking forward to For All Mankind, which starts on March 27, and I think I will start in on season 4 of Dark Winds as most of the season will be available by the end of the week.
