Upcoming fall shows preview
It's that time of year again -- the "best new shows of the fall" preview time! The Guardian has a "50 Best TV shows to watch this autumn" listing, with the usual caveat that the Guardian is a UK paper so many are British productions that may never air outside of the UK (and also lists where the show will be available to watch in the UK, so it may be a different streaming service outside of the UK -- e.g. HBO productions tend to air on Sky Atlantic in the UK). That said, I think this year's listing includes more non-British shows than in previous years. Are there any here that look interesting to you?

IT: Welcome To Derry could be interesting, since I am a fan of Stephen King and IT is among my favorite books of his, however that all depends on how it's done. And quite frankly I wasn't all that interested in seeing the newest movie adaptations of the book, so idk if this will go along with that or be something completely different.

Excluding stuff thats already airing, I am most excited about:
Riot Women - As someone going through menopause who always wanted to be in a band, this will be SO relatable lol but it has a great cast so looking forward to seeing those ladies as punk rockers!
Frauds - mostly because I will watch anything with Suranne Jones in it, but it also has Jodie Whittaker in it and actually sounds good so definitely want to watch this
The Chair Company - because it sounds weird and I like weird
The Witches of Essex - always up for a look at how women were persecuted in the past for being "witches", there was one last year too, "Suranne Jones: Investigating Witch Trials" which was pretty interesting (Suranne Jones being involved is always a win too)
Trespasses - For Gillian Anderson. No other reason lol

I'm also cautiously optimistic about:
All’s Fair - because Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, and Sarah Paulson. But it also has Kim Kardashian in it... so... eh.
Pluribus - because its a sci-fi and sounds weird but we're being drip fed info about it so its hard to say whats its even about aside from "the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness"
The Beauty - which is based on the comics which were quite good (although I didn't read all of them) you can read #1 for free here: https://imagecomics.com/read/the-beauty
Wayward - seems like a more high budget version of The Institute but maybe without the powers? I dunno. Will see I guess.

Standouts for me when I looked up trailers were Black Rabbit, The Low Down (I loved Reservation Dogs, so), Slow Horses (of course), Nobody Wants This... ooh, Down Cemetery Road, Riot Women (maybe, though I could just rewatch We Are Lady Parts. ;-p), Dreaming Whilst Black, Film Club (which is impossible to search for, or maybe I'm getting into the part of the list where the trailers aren't out yet?), Frauds, Small Prophets.
(Yikes, Wayward looking nightmarish! /o)
Okay, handful of standouts turned more into a shopping list. Thanks so much for posting this link! :-)
