I'm currently trying to catch up with Love Next Door. As someone who doesn't tend to be into friends-to-lovers, I'm enjoying the romance a lot. It's a shame that the second-lead couple is really boring in comparison.

LOL! Is it an actual romance? That would be awesome. :D

(Are you still watching Love Next Door, btw? How do you feel about minor spoilers?)

I think, at this point, I've pretty much lost any interest in it. I could have stomached one illness plot but I didn't want to see another. This show was my comfort watch but sickness rarely comforts me, regardless of the outcome. I don't mind spoilers!

Anyway, the cute thing was that Choi Seung-Hyo's father thought Choi Seung-Hyo's mother was having an affair with her boss, right? Eventually he confronts the man about it, and it turns out Seo Hye-Sook and her boss are just friends and the boss is gay. It's not treated as a punchline (except re the father's assumptions), and the guy seems nice. It made me awww. (Chances of the boss getting anymore screentime are approximately zero, but still.)

By the way: Did you know they cut the central lesbian romance from Jeongnyeon? It wasn't on my radar either way but I thought that was really disappointing after High School Return of a Gangster already did the same thing. At least the latter kept the love interest in the show, if only as a "bromance".

Oh, that sucks about the lesbian romance. I didn't know anything about it or the Gangster one, but boo! I expect that from Chinese media because censorship, but with Kmedia there's much less excuse. :-(

(Still super into Black Out. Watching that tight-knit, seemingly somewhat happy community unravel is fun.)

And ha, I just finished reading Love in the Big City, so I'll definitely be checking that out. And possibly Jeongnyeon for the setting and Kim Tae-ri. :D
