Random thoughts:

- I think the rebel skitters are slightly more trustworthy that the other aliens (forgot their name atm). If Pope and Weaver BOTH think the new alien allies are hinky you know shit is bad because those two rarely agree on anything
- CREEPY with the Alexis and Hal being under the new overlord's control -- ew.... WHAT IS GOING ON?
- Matt's growing on me, he's ornery enough and likes to blow shit up when he's bored.
- Karen is so skeevy, I love it.

Wait Alexis is under the overlord's control? Is that what's going on? I couldn't figure that part out.

Matt, that little shit, he grew on me too in this episode, haha. I like his penchant for explosions and also that he apologized to Anne and they didn't drag out the "you're not my mom" angst. I just want them to be a big happy family. ;_;

Karen's so delightfully skeevy! Is she the new human overlord?? Or was that a misdirection?

(I feel like I've said that before)

I don't know that Alexis is under the overlord's control - just that Anne was trapped in that web thing when she was pregnant and Karen was around. Now Alexis has demon eyes (SPN reference, black eyes) and freaky development things. It's skeevy, therefore it's Karen. Yes, I think she's pretty high up now, weird that the new allies knew that though so maybe it is misdirection.

My favorite bits:

- Ben remaining awesome & his new ladyfriend who is super cool
- Tom being the PRESIDENT ahaha, and he's still so dorky and super into history and <3
- all the alien politics of the rebels and the enemy aliens who I don't trust and I'm glad none of the characters trust them either because that's totally not gonna turn out kosher
- POPE.

I really love (almost) everybody and was delighted by the premiere. The only person who annoys me is Hal, he's always like, whining, and he won't ever talk to Maggie or ANYBODY about his problems, and he takes it out on her, and he's a butthead. Maggie deserves better tbh.

Also it seems a bit too obvious that Hal is actually the mole, I feel like there must be someone else who's the mole. Or else they wouldn't have shown the mole blurred so we couldn't see who it was?

I think Hal's feeling a little sorry for himself in the chair (can't say I blame him for that) and that scene with Maggie was more youthful insecurity. IDK, I tend to forgive/handwave teenage angst lately. I think he's going to admit soon he's having Karen trouble.

I think the mole WAS too obviously Hal until the person needed to break-in to get to the plans (Hal was in the meeting, obviously no need to break-in) so it's now obviously not as it was obviously obvious before. I mean, obviously.
If it's Tector I'm gonna cry.

Yeah I guess. I'm probably a little harsh on Hal, haha. I just get protective on Maggie's behalf when he's being a jerk to her. :[

Oh, good point about the break-in. I forgot all about that. Yeah there must be someone else! Eeep.

It's ok! I don't think you're being harsh. I don't really see the chemistry between Maggie and Hal either, but I liked Hal and liked the older brother vibe when he was worried about Ben and Matt, etc. Every season there's a Mason brother that's annoying, maybe it's just Hal's turn?

I remember not being that impressed with Maggie at one point, but have forgotten why. I liked her in this pair of episodes.

TECTOR!!! Almost as awesome as Pope! Maybe more awesome? Let's get him some more screen time so we can tell for sure.

LOL That is so true. I was annoyed by Ben the first season, then Matt last season. Hal's turn. XD And yeah I like him interacting with the family more.

Right? I have that same general feeling. I don't think I used to like her that much but she's grown on me, or something!

IDK if anyone can be more awesome than Pope. But Tector's pretty awesome. :D

Did anyone else feel like they might build up to some sort of reveal with Tom's presumed dead wife? Did they burry her? Do we know for sure she's dead!dead? or could she return in a miraculous way?

IDK, the youngest son asking Anne if it would be okay to call her mom gave me all kinds of weird ideas *lol*
Also, it's scifi, shit like that happens on these shows!!! *LOL* ;D

I can't remember if Tom's wife never came back from a supply run or if someone saw her die. I thought in season 1 someone was with her when she died - not Tom but someone. I'm not sure where you saw that build up coming though? Matt's interaction with Anne? Maybe I just wasn't looking for it.
IDK, I kind of hope they don't bring her back unless she's like Karen or something.

to be fair, I think I was kinda looking for it, so I might have seen things that weren't there.
I just think it was all too much "happy family", and they are too happy, so something's going to happen to disturb it all.
