I have never heard that term before but it makes sense!

I came up with it in connection with Lark Rise to Candleford, although a really annoying kid in later seasons was pure Cousin Oliver from TV Tropes.

Oh I actually tried out that show! I think we got 4 or 5 episodes in but then it became unavailable.
