I think I'd appreciate either the White Collar or Leverage cast in my stocking this year - so many possibilities!

I also watched Under Pressure which was a documentary of the U.S. Women's last World Cup appearance. I wouldn't recommend it. Aside from some great shots of play on the field, the rest just seemed very rote and unrevealing. This was particularly the case because it was the team's worst performance ever in a global tournament, which must have thrown the documentary makers into a panic. Instead of being some sort of celebration it was, instead, an underexplored story of failure, since the real story was in other national teams more than ours.
So with the story cut short they had to pivot into other things, which was a very brief focus on Megan Rapinoe's retirement and a bit of rah rah in terms of how the women's successful campaign for equal pay was being looked at by other national teams as an inspiration to pursue their own campaigns for better working conditions. But I feel it didn't examine anything well, with some history but only a few well known highlights, we didn't really get to know any of the players (although there was some clear distinction between new and aspiring players vs the stars), and we got no examination of why the team underperformed as it did.
I think I prefer my characters onscreen. They can be great fun to watch but so many would be tiresome company in person or else we just wouldn't have much in common, making time together rather awkward. I think my best choice would be for a holiday at the Burke household in White Collar. Being a caterer, Elizabeth would undoubtedly make great food and Peter and Neal would surely have lots of interesting stories to tell. Plus Neal can find a way to get along with anyone so that would smooth out any awkwardness.

Holidays with the Burke-Caffrey contingent sounds perfect!

Also watched S2 of Vigil which was good, the first half of Carol & the End of the World which was meh, and the new Vera christmas episode which was also good.
Otherwise it has just been the weekly episode stuff and lots of movies.
Planning to watch S3 of Departure (Ferry crash), the last three eps of Zom100 which are finally going to drop this week, and probably just a lot more movies. I'm a sucker for awful hallmark holiday movies but will also be watching a ton of horror.

But as for the bonus question, I'd want the whole SG-1 team because they'd be fun to hang out with. Let me introduce Teal'c to all the wonders of earth holidays!

I also continued with my (also Covid-induced) revisit of The X-Files. Have just started in on season 2.
Also watched some more of season 4 of For All Mankind and started season 2 of Vigil, season 1 of Reacher, as well as Scavengers Reign. And some random syndicated stuff when I was too lazy to bother changing channels or loading up something else. I think that's mostly it.

See Icon
*Hmmm, it certainly casts a new light on the hazards of discounts and free delivery.
Re: See Icon
Ha! Glutton for punishment? :D
Re: See Icon
One of my fics describes Servalan as an anorexic for punishment.

Analogue Squad: Hasn't managed to grab me yet.
The Curse: Nothing about it feels particularly innovative or "best of 2023"-worthy after several years of shows about petty, privileged, bored white people. Slowly starting to wonder whether any of it (particularly the cringe) has a point beyond "teehee, let's judge these pathetic bastards".
Glow Up S5: Really enjoyed this season's contestants. Didn't have a fave but I thought that all of the finalists were super talented.
Sort Of S1: Liked the first two episodes but it hasn't managed to wow me yet.
Yoh! Christmas: Unfortunately, Thando is no Tumi (How To Ruin Christmas protagonist).
I think I'd like the Somebody Somewhere cast to hang out with on Christmas. 1) There would be live music/singing. 2) Laughter and interpersonal warmth. 3) I just think they'd make me feel right at home. Christmas is always a very bittersweet season of the year for me, so I'd appreciate some joyous, queer found-family vibes.

Also watching two Kdramas: Welcome to Samdal-ri (two new episodes each week) and My Demon (which I'm using to fill the gaps).
I wouldn't mind Bait from The Dragon Prince as a houseguest, but I don't really want any extra people.
