Being Human: UK or US?

Hello, everyone. The time in isolation during the global pandemic has given me an opportunity to catch up on some of the television shows I'd been meaning to watch. Still, it is a long enough list that I feel I need to choose one or the other when it comes to Being Human. Do you recommend the UK or the US version, and why?

Many thanks!

100% the UK version. I know very little about the US version, but I do know they filmed otherwise-identical scenes in much more male-gazey ways, even when it made the plot itself make less sense. More detail if you'd like!

Taking a look at the US version summary on wikipedia, it looks much less dark but also less brave.

I haven't seen the US version, but I adored the UK version, so much. I love the characters and the worldbuilding and the philosophical aspects. Be prepared for a lot of blood and gore and death, they definitely weren't shy about that, but there's also a lot of ordinary scenes, sitting down with a cup of tea and just talking.

The UK version! I watched both, and I loved both but the UK version was much better I cried legitimate tears when it was over. For some reason I think that the US version ran longer? So there's that to consider, but seriously of the two the UK version. It's been too long for me to really tell you WHY I have that knee jerk reaction, but I do. Still loved them both tho

Although I've not watched all of the UK version, I'd recommend the UK version over the US. The three actors in the first two seasons have such a chemistry with one another that I felt that the main leads of the US (Canadian) version didn't have. Also the UK version has fewer episodes - 37 as opposed to 52.

I didn't consistently watch the US version, just bits and pieces here and there, but I also have to throw my hat in for the UK version. The characters/actors were better, IMO.

I didn't see the U.S. version so I can't offer a comparison, but I'd say the first few seasons of the U.K. one were worth watching.

I've only watched the UK version, and I loved the first season and liked the next two, and then stopped watching after S3 completely because I'd heard that the quality of the show plummets in S4. From what I've heard of the US version, it's the opposite in that it starts off weak but improves after the first season.
