What TV have you watched this week? The second episode of Kamen Rider Build aired and it seems pretty good so far! I do really wish Kamen Rider would knock it off with the random movie/episode crossovers without offering up at least some kind of explanation for how these series could exist in the same continuity when Build has a freaking giant wall dividing Japan into three countries, which Ex-Aid definitely did not have (c.f. the meteor that crashed into Shibuya in Kabuto???), but it's more amusement than anything else on my part.
(The one time they used a "it's different universes, here's a wormhole sucking someone through it!" excuse plot, it was two series that didn't even need an excuse. Ninninger and Drive are canon compliant to each other!)
Anyway. Kiryu is a really fun protagonist and I'm looking forward to more of him.
What show (past or current) has the best costumes? I mean, I watch tokusatsu, the monsters are all people in bad-looking rubber costumes and/or CGI. I don't watch enough western TV to know what costumes are good there.

What TV have you watched this week?
I *finally* finished my Doctor Who rewatch, and celebrated this by renewing my Netflix subscription.
I started to watch the latest season of Orange Is the New Black but gave up after half an episode. Having them play the aftermath of [insert spoiler]'s death for comedy is just... no. I've felt for a few seasons already that OItNB has made a mistake by trying to be both a comedy and a serious commentary on the problems of American prison system, but I now feel that it's crossed that line to bad taste while at the same time patting itself on the back for being progressive. Also, I loathe the funny neo-nazis that were introduced last season.
I also tried a few episodes of Lucifer, but I found it disaapointingly soulless and unoriginal. Very by-the-numbers American procedural without any of the absurdity that I was hoping for.

Huh, I've never thought about costumes in shows I like, because I mainly just seem to gravitate towards shows with old punks and men in waistcoats :D (and with the Twelfth Doctor, Doctor Who kindly gave me both!)

Well, lately I've mainly just discussed TV (well, Doctor Who) in my journal... You're all welcome to join, though :D

What TV have you watched this week? The season 3 premiere of Outlander, which was outstanding; the premiere episode of The Orville, which was amusing; The Last Ship; Mock the Week; Rick and Morty; So You Think You Can Dance; the finale of the lastest season of Amazing Race Canada. I've also continued my re-watch of Ashes to Ashes, as well as South Park (season 15) -- although that's not really a re-watch as we kind of stopped watching it around season 8 and have been catching up. Also an episode or two of Norsemen and the original Star Trek. And some baseball.
What show (past or current) has the best costumes? Outlander's costumes are amazing. Terry Dresbach does stunning work.
What other online places have you found to discuss TV? Any recs? Well.... there's my Outlander discussion forum of course... As well as another Outlander forum over on LiveJournal... Other than that, other people's journals if they're watching some of the same stuff I am.

What TV have you watched this week? finished getting through the end of Kitchen Nightmares (omg ppl are stupid af); and pulled up some old skool stuff - the 1990's Zorro and 7 Days.
What show (past or current) has the best costumes? I really like the wardrobe dept on Suits. They wear some amazing items. I'd also give props to Quantum Leap every time they had to dress Sam up in 'the other person's' clothes.
What other online places have you found to discuss TV? Any recs? If you're big into SFF, you can roll over to SFF Chronicles. They do a lot of book discussions, but, since they absorbed the old ASciFi forum, have a lot more TV/movie stuff.

Been catching up on The Fosters, am only like 3 or 4 episodes behind now. Also watched season 1 of The Good Place. It was friggen AWESOME! Cannot wait for season 2 next week! My mom watches Zoo so I have been sorta watching with her if I'm home, and now I kinda want to start from the beginning to find out what the hell is going on. I think that's it for things I watched this week. Tried watching another ep of Chesapeake Shores but the hallmark website didn't want to stop buffering and then it just crashed on me. I need to stop forgetting to set the DVR!

What TV have you watched this week? Finally watching Season 4 and 5 of Orphan Black! (currently up to 5.03).
What show (past or current) has the best costumes? I can't think of any that absolutely jumps out at me. (I do admire the way the costumes on OB really help define each of the seestra's personalities, though.)
