What TV have you watched this week? The Rachel Maddow Show and episode 2x2 of The Expanse, which I still haven't posted about to
What fall shows are you looking forward to? Top of the Lake, Madame Secretary, Elementary, and The Good Place. EDIT: And Brooklyn Nine-Nine. How could I forget?
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? It would have to be an old school domestic sitcom from the eighties. However, I would cast Virginia Madsen and Paul Giamatti, circa Sideways. They are both great actors, plus they are funny, smart and reasonably good looking. Okay, fine. Virginia Madsen is gorgeous. It's my sitcom. I can cast whomever I want to play
methe lead.I don't know who I would cast to play
our son, our vast array of entertaining friends, and cranky relativeseveryone else.no subject
What TV have you watched this week? This week, I finally binged the newest season of Game Of Thrones. Well, that was fun. Also, ahaha this show.
What fall show are you looking forward to? Cannot wait for Mindhunter. Also looking forward to new seasons of Mr. Robot and Stranger Things.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? Off the top of my head, then. Gay spies in love. It would be a procedural of sorts, I guess, but with comedy because I need the laughs. Starring? Andrew Garfield and Jesse Eisenberg. Throw in Gina Torres and Gemma Whelan and Bill Hader and I'll be happy beyond words. Also, Joseph Mazzello because Wardooo:

What TV have you watched this week? GoT, Twin Peaks, Rick & Morty, The Norsemen
What fall show are you looking forward to? Black Mirror, The Deuce
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? I keep thinking we need more period genre works. Medieval zombie hunters, Abbasid clockpunk time travellers... That last one actually sounds pretty tempting. Plus then I can cast Sarah Shahi to essentially play Shaw again except with a crossbow.

I would definitely watch this show! :D

What TV have you watched this week? Lots and lots of GoT season seven clips on YouTube. Also, about lots of episodes of the Bleach anime, all because I read a crossover fic that made me want to re-watch.
What fall show are you looking forward to? Lucifer, although I have to watch season two first. I'm so far behind on everything, but I'm also not watching when I'm not in the mood, because that could lead to me hating something I used to love.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? I used to wish someone would make MZB's Heritage of Hastur into a tv show, so I guess it would be that. The whole Darkover universe could be interesting on screen, whatever one may think about MZB herself. No idea who I would cast, though. Maybe I should google some red haired, blue eyed actors, huh?

Or you could cast whomever you wanted and let them wear blue contacts and dye their hair red.

What fall show are you looking forward to? Returning, Outlander, Stranger Things, Agents of SHIELD, and The Walking Dead. New, Marvel's The Inhumans and Star Trek: Discovery.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? Sci-fi/horror, starring Kyle Chandler and Amber Benson and, in a small but crucial role, Matthew McConaughey.

It appears that I can get Outlander season one through the library now. Do you think I'd like it? Be honest.

What TV have you watched this week? Game of Thrones, Wynonna Earp, Great British Baking Show and general hospital.
What fall show are you looking forward to? Lucifer, The Gifted, The Good Place (which I got to remember to DVR), Stranger Things, The Crown, ..sort of drew a blank after that.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? Either science fiction or noir mystery. Either Angela Basset or Rutina Wesley (if science fiction) or if noir mystery, Emma Stone/Michelle Williams and Tim Rozon or James Marsters. It would be an original work. If I were to adapt something? Either Chronicles of Lymond with Tom Hiddleston, or The Sparrow...with Javier Bardem.

What TV have you watched this week? 15 episodes of a 2010 Korean drama called Secret Garden (with body swaps!), a few episodes of other Kdramas, and 3 episodes of Parks & Rec season 3. But The Expanse season 2 has arrived on DVD, so I imagine we'll get stuck into that soon.
What fall show are you looking forward to? Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I don't really follow the US TV seasons, so there might be others too.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? A small town PI constantly treading on the toes of/getting in the way of his frenemy cop's cases, starring Aldis Hodge and some other dude, and with an awesome diverse supporting cast a la Battle Creek.

What TV have you watched this week? GofT finale, Twin Peaks, So You Think You Can Dance, Amazing Race Canada, Peaky Blinders, Ripper Street, Star Trek TOS, Rick and Morty, Life on Mars, does baseball count as a TV show?
What fall show are you looking forward to? OUTLANDER!!! Also the new Star Trek and The Orville in terms of new shows. Designated Survivor and Madam Secretary for returning shows.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? Probably something SF based as there are so many great books that should be made into TV series, but beyond that, don't know.

What TV have you watched this week? I'm doing a LOST re-watch right now and I am once more reminded of how great the show was until nothing made sense anymore.
What fall show are you looking forward to? Dynasty reboot!
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? It would probably be very gay and feature Sir Patrick, of course. He would play the lead character, an actor who falls in love with a younger man who could or could not be his bodyguard (I'd have to cast the younger actor, I'd know which one's the right one when I see him, but he'd have to be in his 30s). Of course. Who said cliché plots are dead? Heh.

What TV have you watched this week? Chesapeake Shores, The Fosters, and Midnight, Texas!
What fall show are you looking forward to? I haven't even looked at what's going on this fall. I guess Star Trek Discovery even though I have no clue how I'll get to watch it.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? I would LOVE a show like... werewolves in space, though it'd make negative amounts of sense. LOL. It'd star Tatiana Maslaney and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

What fall show are you looking forward to? I'm trying to remember what we've got the DVR scheduled to record -- so many shows have irregular seasons these days that all I can think of that will be returning is SPN and Dancing With the Stars. And then there's also things like the UK shows that appear here 6 months or a year later.
If you were creating your own show, what genre would it be and who would play the lead role(s)? I think my biggest interest is not so much genre as style. I want to see something that's along the lines of Legion, in that it's a genre of show being told in an unexpected style. Also, no one ever does time travel stories properly. Given that I have recently read yet another Merlin reincarnation fic, I'd like to see a sequel done with decent writing that is a political thriller. Why is Arthur back and what could a man from another millenium really contribute to a present day crisis given our current communications and military climate?

Agreed on the Time Travel shows...none are told properly. I've tried several now. I think the only two I've really enjoyed were Sarah Conner Chronicles and Doctor Who..but neither rely solely on Time Travel. Outlander isn't bad in how it utilizes it, although I felt it should have done so more effectively. Quantum Leap disappointed me - although I did stick with all the way through. As did Timeless, also disappointing.
What I'd like is something closer to what Moffat sort of did with Doctor Who/River Song arc...which is explore how wonky Time Travel can be. I wish someone would adapt a Connie Willis Time Travel novel -- because that author does examine the psychological, scientific, etc effects of it -- albeit with less violence, than say 12 Monkeys.
