New Shows (June 1 - June 21)

  • Unreal premieres on June 1 on Lifetime.

A fictitious behind-the-scenes glimpse into the chaos surrounding the production of a dating competition program. Set against the backdrop of the hit dating competition show "Everlasting," "UnREAL" is led by flawed heroine Rachel Goldberg (Shiri Appleby), a young producer whose sole job is to manipulate her relationships with, and among, the contestants to get the vital dramatic and outrageous footage that the program’s dispassionate executive producer, Quinn King (Constance Zimmer), demands. What ensues is an eye-opening look at what happens in the outrageous world of unscripted television, where being a contestant can be vicious and being a producer a whole other reality.

We love to play games with our children. But what happens when someone else starts to play with them too? Someone we don't know. Can't see. Can't hear. In The Whispers, someone — or something — is manipulating the ones we love most to accomplish the unthinkable. Starring: Lily Rabe, Barry Sloane, Milo Ventimiglia, Derek Webster, Kristen Connolly, Kylie Rogers and Kyle Harrison Breitkopf.

However, the posh and decadent world of Andy's classically blue-blooded family slowly takes over as Jill valiantly tries to resist all the delicious temptations and perks their wealth can afford.

When John (Jason O’Mara) learns the boy is still marked for death, he’s compelled to save him at any cost. probably only Sense8. the others sound good, but that's the only one I'd be able to watch.

There were only three shows that really caught my attention: The Whispers (watching it because I miss Lily Rabe); Sense8 (the premise sounds mildly interesting); Killjoys (has good buzz).

Overall, though, there doesn't seem to be a lot that jumps out at me. #ohwell
