I'm actually not sure about Coulson or Ward. Coulson because he seems to just sort of be there at the moment, smiling blandly, and Ward because he was just so annoying last week and I think his ego-tastic bs could get old very quick. I'm wondering if part of the issue is that Ward feels so... cut out... that I can't imagine him having any backstory that isn't boring and Coulson just seems a bit distant. I'm hoping that that is planned and that it'll be part of that big tahiti reveal that's gotta be coming.

Its a sabbatical while he gets back on his feet. Anyway the Avengers are probably all off doing their own things. Winter Soldiering and Thor2ing and not Black Widow movie-ing (grr) and etc....

FIRST OF ALL this show. SECOND OF ALL I want to know what this 'Calvary' business is all about.
Also, fish tanks.

My only nitpick is that Ward is now suddenly ready to take on Skye? Like a 180 turn. I guess part of that is that he's 'growing as a person' and 'trying to work on a team' but it seemed sudden based on his seemingly intense dislike of her. I mean, I get why it was done - I just thought it was a bit speedy. Especially since there's apparently going to be a bit more tension with her with that Rising Tide stuff
*shrugs*
IDK, I'll trust them to tell the story. :)

Well now that you've compared it to SG-1 I think I'm in love.
*can't unsee it*

ETA: and yeah, I disliked the level of antagonism up front more I think. GLAD IT'S RESOLVED-ish

- WHO WAS YOUR FAVE THIS WEEK? Coulson continued to rock. Skye was more tolerable this week. Not quite sure about the twist at the end with her.
- teammmmwork?? too forced or just the right amount? Just right for a group of people at the beginning of the journey to being a team.
- what do you think of the BUS. It was awesome. Too bad they have to kill the fish tank.
- Who are you looking forward to hearing about most? Definitely interested in hearing May's backstory and why she out of the field in the pilot. Would really like to know how Coulson survived his death in The Avengers.
- Better or worse than the first episode?? I for one thought it was better.
- FURYYYYYYYYYYY! Yes, that was a nice thing to see. Some people on another board I'm on called his appearance in this ep and I argued it was too early to see him pop up if he was going to at all in this series. Hats off to those who called SLJ's cameo.

I'm quite hopeful about the twist with Skye in that, if she does start building relationships with the other characters and them with her, it should spark some angst and it makes her less "outsider in over her head" to "outsider with her own mysterious agenda".

WHO WAS YOUR FAVE THIS WEEK? um... Melinda or maybe Skye. I'm curious about Melinda's backstory and I like her whole "you people talk a lot" (or whatever the line was).

teammmmwork?? too forced or just the right amount? I thought that the ep did what it needed which was show that, even with the disparate personalities, when it comes down to it they can work together. I mean, it shouldn't make them seamless overnight but it showed that the can work together.

what do you think of the BUS. It needs a fishtank. :D

Who are you looking forward to hearing about most? I want to see where the Skye story takes us. I'd quite like to see Coulson actually do something other than smile blandly and prod them in different directions. He seems rather... blank slate-y at the moment.

Better or worse than the first episode?? I'm not sure. I'll need to rewatch them to see. Maybe better??

FURYYYYYYYYYYY! Was a nice random insertion although it felt a bit clunky.

I need icons. Is there an Agents Of SHIELD comm yet?

I got the sense of her as being sort of... seen it all, kinda get where they're coming from, kindly when she feels secure. I interpreted her suggesting to Ward that he train Skye as being her thinking "he'll behave himself better if he thinks he has some sort of project/authority/purpose so..." while in the background she will be making sure any training is being done correctly. Or summat. :D

Get rid of who? Skye? I think if she is an enemy its probably better to have her nearby where they have some hope of working out what she's up to, esp since they know nothing about her.

I saw. I saw you're already there. :)

I'm tempted to make one over here (even though I then do nothing with them ala Defiance comm) if only so that, if people do have icons and things they have somewhere to post them. But since I feel bad when I make comms and then just leave them I might not.

That's how I'm feeling about it. It's like part 2 of a pilot

- WHO WAS YOUR FAVE THIS WEEK? - May but I have a feeling that will always be the case. Though I pretty much adore everyone but Ward at this point.
- teammmmwork?? too forced or just the right amount? - a little forced but it was the only way to move the plot forward and they needed to show that these people CAN work together, despite their differences
- what do you think of the BUS. - I want one, but without the fish tank modification.
- Who are you looking forward to hearing about most? MAY but also everyone else. I'm hoping they'll give Ward a back-story that explains his egotistical/'I need help from no one crap' better than his little monologue to Skye so I can actually like him.
- Better or worse than the first episode?? Better, I think
- FURYYYYYYYYYYY! FABULOUS

May but I have a feeling that will always be the case
same. She seems more naturally mysterious than whatever Rising Tide mystery Skye has going on. Not that I dislike Skye, just that at the moment I like May more.

It did feel like forced team building for plot. Also the 'common enemy' thing was an Avengers reference? Maybe? I don't remember the movie 100% so maybe I'm making that up.
