Previously On

Hello [community profile] tv_talk!

Our weekly opportunity to chat about non-current TV. Anything goes! Please stop by and tell us what you're watching, what you've been thinking of checking out, etc. Closed canons or something currently airing that you're just behind on -- it's all good. :)

Some possible topics:
- What show(s) have you watched this week?
- What are some of your favorite science fiction shows from the past? Who was your favorite character? How did it end?

Is anyone interested in taking on the 'Previously On' posts for canceled and/or older shows starting in January?

After falling completely in love with The Librarians (and rewatching all three prior movies before rewatching the premiere again), I'm kinda missing Leverage (the OT3 feels!)... why yes, you guessed it, I am rewatching Leverage. Again. Because I have no self control and sleep is for the weak.

I'll probably move on to Angel next, because Christian Kane, and I miss Cordy and Wes and... oh God, I'll end up rewatching the entire Jossverse, won't I?

Yeah... I'll be rewatching it all under duress.
Your Honor, I've been forced by nostalgia and the awesomeness was holding a gun to my head. I just had to watch it. Or else.

I've been following along (loosely) with Pivot's airing of Buffy. I missed pretty much all of S4 due to Reasons, but was reminded of how much I liked season 5 and how strong the finale was. I think it was originally supposed to be the show's finale, and though I like parts of 6 and 7 I do kinda wish it had stopped there. The SFX and Whedon dialogue haven't aged spectacularly well, but it has a lot of heart.

Yeah, it's a sort of leftist satellite/cable channel. It does reruns of lots of good shows actually: I've seen Farscape, Veronica Mars, and Little Mosque on the Prairie on it too.

Caught up on Forever, which I found enjoyable but fairly predictable (favorite character was the Lieutenant). Haven't caught up on anything else.

I think Firefly remains my all-time favorite although it wasn't very science-fiction-y. I also loved SG-1, mainly because of the characters and the cast. Otherwise I think maybe V (the old one). I didn't watch all the episodes, probably didn't watch them in the correct order because that's French TV for you, and it was a really bad, cheap show. But I liked the premise and felt it was more believable than some from other shows. Also it resonated with the history of my country so it introduced to me the idea that you could talk about aliens and spaceships and but really talking about humans and world history.
