Ascension is a 6-episode mini-series which will premiere on December 15 on Syfy.


In 1963, the U.S. government launched a covert space mission sending hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage aboard the starship Ascension to populate a new world. Nearly 50 years into the journey, as they approach the point of no return, a mysterious murder of a young woman causes the ship’s population to question the true nature of their mission.

I'm looking forward to this show - it's one of the few upcoming shows I've been keeping my eye on. Both because SPACE and because Ryan Robbins and Tricia Helfer are cast.

This! It looks like it could be truly awesome. Also with only six episodes I have hight hopes that this will be tight, consistent, unpredictable and really well-written and thought out. *crossing fingers*

Oh, I had no idea Tricia Helfer was going to be in a new show! Like everyone else who has commented, I'm hoping that the 6-episode run will keep things interesting. :)
