Hello
Sorry I didn't post yesterday :(
But here it is - our weekly opportunity to chat about non-current TV. Anything goes! Please stop by and tell us what you're watching, what you've been thinking of checking out, etc. Closed canons or something currently airing that you're just behind on -- it's all good. :)
Some possible topics:
- What show(s) have you watched this week?
- What older show have you not watched that you think everyone else has seen? Why haven't you watched it? Do you think you ever will?
Watch-Along: Show of the Month: Leverage

Did you watch any Leverage this week? If so, which episode(s)?

Other than that, I've not watched much TV this week. I'm hoping to get a few episodes in for my Stargate SG-1 re-watch this week, but we'll see.

I did really like it - so nice to see something set in an unexpected period (ie. AFTER ww2 and not during)

It wasn't a conscious choice; I just never got around to them (and most likely never will).

Supernatural, on the other hand, owns my soul. You're probably wise to stay away. ;P

ETA: I could add Hannibal and Walking Dead to my "seems like everyone seen it but me" list. Although I loved SotL, I have no interest in the show, and I'm not a zombie fan, so WD is a no-go.

unless you count the Impala as I'm pretty sure "baby" is generally assumed to be a lady). I tend to balance it with a lot of other female-centric media myself.I've not been interested in either Hannibal or Walking Dead, although I hear the Walking Dead has some pretty amazing storytelling.

LOST! No interest. No.
still desperately trying to quit the originals, but i know i'll cave and watch tomorow's episode.

In shows I'm catching up on, I'm currently watching Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (up to the beginning of S2), I started and finished When Calls the Heart (a bit like Dr Quinn Medecine Woman and it airs on Hallmark, you've been warned). I've also started Friday Night Lights whose first season I watched ages ago (right after it aired) and then I got bored by S2 and never finished so hopefully this time I'll stick until the end. I'm also more or less working on Once Upon a Time but very slowly (like one episode a week). I'm five episodes into S2 and I really don't like it compared to S1 but I live for those fairy tale-historical scenes.
To answer your second question, I started watching Game of Thrones when it started airing and then stopped because I thought it was incredibly problematic especially when it comes to its portrayal of women and I can't stand torture. I don't think I'll ever finish the show.

I've heard good things about Friday Night Lights, but have never been too into football shows. I do mean to give it a try one day.

Although, yes, it`d be more enjoyable if you like football shows/movies in general, but still. It is a drama show, with no forced comedy. The character are great, they adress a lot of stuff (problems) that got nothing to do with football. And the cast is made of win.
It is slow at times, but if you manage to keep watching, it`ll be worth it.
I`ve started watching it ages ago, then gave up on it because of no time. Then I bagged all season on DVD, and watched everything in one go.
Ben Browder once said FNL is the only show he`s watching on TV (when it still was on air), after I was done watching it all, I understood why he watched it.

I thought it`s not made for me, apparently I was wrong, I like it. And I`ll continue watching it.
And I`m still trying to catch up with NCIS:Los Angeles. I stoped watching the show middle of season 1, by now I`ve made it up to 3.4.
Did anyone watch "The Nightshift" or "Satisfaction"? those are two shows I really enjoyed. I`ve watched all of "The Nightshift" in one go, I`m glad it gets a 2nd season.
Both shows have drama, but a lot of light moments also, and I like the humor :D
no subject
I've never heard of either of those shows. Where are they aired?
no subject
I`ve started watching Satisfaction only because of Matt Passmore. I just love to watch the guy on screen :D
After watching a trailer for The Nightshift, I had to give the show a try, and it didn`t disappoint. It`s drama, with the right amount of humor, even hilarious at times. It has a lot of great character & actor.
I`m slowely, but surely, catching up on NCIS:LA. I got season 1-3 on DVD (season 4 and up is still too expensive), but I`ve only watched until 3.7 so far.
Show lost me middle of season 1, but the addition of Deeks, and the changes that have been made, did it for me. I really like what I see now. No idea if it`s going to stay like it is now, but so far I`ve got nothing to complain about.

The Flash, Bones, Constantine, GRIMM, The Walking Dead, Arrow and Game of Thrones (I'm behind 2 episodes though)
Started this show Reckless on Netflix, got 7 episodes in and was enjoying it enough to see if it had a 2nd season ... Nope. ):
And started watching How I Met Your Mother ... which I never watched when it was on air and everyone else probably did. So far I'm enjoying season 1 (almost done with it).
- What older show have you not watched that you think everyone else has seen? Why haven't you watched it? Do you think you ever will?
Supernatural - I saw the first two seasons, and then things just got weird and I couldn't keep up with the whole thing. Characters I liked died and it just wasn't clicking with me - Maybe Ill give it a try, not sure.
Lost - Dunno, just couldn't get into the show ... Don't think I ever will watch it.
(How I Met Your Mother) - Am watching it now, finally

How are yo liking The Flash?

I looooooooove Grimm too. I am letting a few episodes pile up so I can watch them back to back (I hate waiting every week lol). If you have Hulu, it's on Hulu.
