Have you ever watched SUPERNATURAL? Yes! I've watched all of it.

Tell us about your experience with the show! I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes as they aired, but it was the year I was renovating a house and training for a marathon, so I drifted away when I canceled cable. I picked it back up when season 5 was airing and watched via DVD. Then I tripped and fell into fandom (scarier place than the show at times!) and now I mostly sit in a quiet corner and rock, hugging my knees and muttering to myself

If you do watch, do you have any favorite characters? The Impala, Sam and Dean, Dean and Sam, Kevin, Jody, Rufus, Bobby, Gwen, Jo, Ellen, Tessa, Charlie, Pamela, etc.

Favorite Episodes? is it cheating to say all of them? I can't really parse out 9 seasons as I'm still on my first cup of coffee. :)

Are you excited about the new season? Yes! I strive to stay spoiler-free but have seen one trailer and it looks like it'll be fun.

I tried watching this show way back when it first aired. The premise sounded like it was right up my alley.

However, it didn't take. Even when I went back to give it a second try.

I think part of the reason is that I couldn't take one of the male leads seriously because the only other thing I'd seen him in was as Rory's first boyfriend in Gilmore Girls. #gofigure

I saw Gilmore Girls after Supernatural, so I didn't have that problem. I enjoyed the first three seasons of the show a lot and then gave up around the 6th.

[Tell us about your experience with the show!]

I wish I could remember how I first began watching. I know it was not from the first ep in real time. I'm a huge X-Files fan so I think that connection was the initial draw. (Director Kim Manners from XF fame.) So I tried it a few seasons in, I believe via Netflix.

It reminded me so much of XF that for the first few seasons I kept waiting for Mulder & Scully to show up. Now the fandom circle is complete and when I watch XF, I expect Sam & Dean to show up!

Man alive, I know there has to be crossover fic out there. If anyone knows any, especially by some of the old XF authors, that would be fantastic! There's too much dreck out there to wade through these days. I just don't have the time or mental energy for that.


[If you do watch, do you have any favorite characters?]

I love the boys equally. I also loved John Winchester.

I hated the way that character was rewritten (after he was gone) to be a neglectful and even abusive father. When you watch the earlier eps even without him in them, he was not that way.

Man, I can't recall now. But definitely ones featuring the younger versions of the boys!

[Are you excited about the new season?]

I'm terrified, actually. The writers seem to love tormenting these characters. After 9 seasons of it... I don't know if I can take any more.

I am getting a little tired of the angst and pain these characters go through, too. The current show runner (Carver?) seems to like the brothers at odds and I try not to let it get me down. I still like the MOTW episodes though, and most of the comedic moments they toss in.
