I haven't seen Touching Evil since it first aired on USA I don't know how many years ago. I remember liking it, though and it was the first thing I saw Vera Farminga in. I don't know how easy it is to find, though. I vaguely think I saw some episodes on YT quite a while back but I'm not sure if they're still available. And I don't think it's on Netflix or Amazon.

I actually did manage to find the episodes on YT.

here

I haven't watched them yet so I don't know how good the quality is or if they're the full episodes but at least it's something.

There are also some episodes here but they only go up to episode 9.

The X-Files. Because I love it and I'm already rewatching season two with [livejournal.com profile] xf_is_love. It would be incentive to keep going.

Fringe. Because I love it and I'm currently rewatching season three with [community profile] fringe_rewatch.

China Beach. I was given the entire series for Mother's Day and need a reason to crack open the box.

- What show(s) have you watched this week?
Continuing with Voyager. I think I'm nearing the end of S2.

- What is your all-time favorite TV theme song or opening sequence?
I've always loved DS9's opening visuals and music, and I'm becoming pretty fond of Voyager's now as well. I've also always liked the Doctor Who opening. ~ And oh yes, I second [personal profile] colls mention of Orphan Black -- spouse always rolls eyes because I never skip it.

- Saddest TV moment(s)?
Thinking about it, I can think of a lot more moments that make me "happy-cry" (if that makes any sense?), but for sadness, probably "The Body" from BtVS.

Yes, Kes is still around. (We did actually see that ep when it aired, I think. I really can't remember that we watched consistently before Seven joined the crew, but I do vaguely recall that we watched from there mostly to the end fo the series.) ~ Just passed "Tuvok freaks out after mind melding with sociopath" and "B'ellanna argues with her bomb" eps. Disgruntled ex-Maqui Guy still funneling info to Seska (yeah, THAT'll end well.)

I think my most reliable Happy-Cry Blubber moment is in BtVS S7, "Showtime" when Buffy finally rescues Spike from The First. I cry EVERY TIME. :p

YES! They're both so good.

Yes! I have no music theory, but both have a sort of ... soaring poignance that often gives me a bit of a lump in my throat.

Other than current TV, I've been still trying to catch up with The Originals (3 more episodes to go), starting to rewatch Parks & Rec (still in season 1) as a comfort watch, and watching the second season of Scandal for the first time, which I'm really enjoying a lot.

[personal profile] lostdragonfound 2014-10-05 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I don't work outside the home, so there is that extra time I wouldn't have otherwise.
I do sort of multi-task when I watch sometimes, depending on what I'm watching (somethings demand more of my attention than others). I write in my journal, work on my to-do list, make the grocery list and very rarely do something crafty. But I watch pretty much all my TV on my computer so I don't do web stuff or anything on the computer itself while watching.

I like the intensity and fast pace of Scandal and a lot of the characters and the weird complexity that it has in the second season.

i'm rewatching seasons 1 and 2 of nu!who, which i haven't watched since they aired. they're cuter and more fun than i remembered.

i intend to rewatch abc's short-lived but adorable 10 things i hate about you and the first season of the x-files before the end of the month.

season 1 is so good, even if it's markedly different/darker than the following seasons. the show is often remembered for its occasional humorous episodes, many of them are all time fan faves. but i don't think there's a single comedic episode in s1. i think this aspect of the show wasn't introduced until s3.

The first comedic episode is Humbug 2x20 by Darin Morgan. I know this because we're doing a season two rewatch as part of [livejournal.com profile] xf_is_love during October.

Season one is still my favorite season of The X-Files, but I love seasons two and three nearly as much.

Aw ... I especially loved Nine. (I think one of my fav eps ever is the one with Jabe and Cassandra and the Face.)

Any of them your favorites?

i just a casual viewer of dw, really, but the end of the world and the doctor dances stood marvelously on rewatch. i've become fond of the whole of series 1, really! it's just so warm and the melancholic moments are all so quiet. it had a lot of heart, s1, i'd forgotten about it.

*nods* I agree. I think the success of the reboot rests in great part on the overall excellence of S1.

(And while I'm not active in the DW fandom, I sort of skim past the bits about the behind the scenes difficulties and kerfluffles; there might have been conflict, but they certainly all were professional enough to hide it in the finished product.)

- What show(s) have you watched this week?
Closed canon: The X-Files season two. We had good discussions for "Little Green Men" and "The Host." Nothing so far for "Blood" and "Sleepless." Tomorrow's episode is "Duane Barry." We'll see how it goes. An entire season in a month might be too much of a good thing. We did more than 25 episodes last year but...

Fringe-Rewatch just started back with "Olivia" which is the best season opener of any series I've ever seen. Minus Fringe's usual science-fail, it is a perfect episode of television, which I have re-watched countless times with pleasure.

Open canon:
I watched the pilot and second episode of How to Get Away With Murder. I tuned in to watch Viola Davis, but not even she can rescue this mess for me. The entire premise is—preposterous, which will not keep anyone else from watching it, I know. It will probably be a huge hit, in fact. But I'm outta there.

I also watched the pilot and episode two of Madame Secretary. I loved Téa Leoni in the title role and like all of the actors cast in it. I like the family bits and work stuff too. I'm going to keep watching--for now--and hope it makes it through an entire season without being cancelled.

We're two episodes behind on Nashville.

- What is your all-time favorite TV theme song or opening sequence?

It's a toss up between Voyager and Deep Space Nine.

- Saddest TV moment(s)?

The X-Files: "William". I'm still not over it.

not the person you asked, but even though madam secretary's overall ratings are good, its target demo (18-49) ratings are bad, especially by CBS standards. viewership seems to skew older.
