Returning Show: Hawaii Five-0
HAWAII FIVE-0 is a contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands' sun-drenched beaches. Detective Steve McGarrett, a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop, returns to Oahu to investigate his father's murder and stays after Hawaii's Governor persuades him to head up the new team: his rules, her backing, no red tape and full blanket authority to hunt down the biggest "game" in town. Joining McGarrett is Detective Danny "Danno" Williams, a newly relocated ex-New Jersey cop - a working man in paradise who prefers skyscrapers to the coastline - but who's committed to keeping the Islands safe for his 8-year-old daughter; and Chin Ho Kelly, an ex-Honolulu Police Detective, and former protégé of McGarrett's father, wrongly accused of corruption and relegated to a federal security patrol. Chin's cousin, Kono Kalakaua, is a beautiful and fearless native, fresh out of the academy and eager to establish herself among the department's elite. McGarrett, repairing his relationship with his estranged sister Mary Ann, vows to bring closure to their father's case, while the state's brash new FIVE-0 unit, who may spar and jest among themselves, is determined to eliminate the seedy elements from the 50th state. Peter Lenkov, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are executive producers for CBS Television Studios.

My favorite characters are Danny Williams and Mary Ann McGarrett.
I don't have a favorite episode, but anyone where Danny and Steve are together is good with me.

I began watching because I love Daniel Dae Kim. Then I learned Grace Park would be in it too and I was even happier. And then I learned that Alex O'Loughlin is gorgeous. Hey, where else can you find a show that has THREE gorgeous lead/regular male characters? All of that plus gorgeous Hawaii? What's not to love?
If you do watch, do you have any favorite characters?
Danny and Steve. I can't pick a favorite. I love them together.
Oh, and I love watching Danny with Grace! I'm a sucker for a sweet daddy-daughter relationship.
Are you excited about the new season?
I'm... cautious. Seasons have been so uneven. It seems they don't know where the story is even going. They've started storylines and abandoned them, introduced new characters only to have them disappear, etc. I was actually surprised they were renewed at all! I hope this season gets some direction. I can't imagine it continuing on this way.
That's a shame, because I think it has a lot of potential and it's being squandered. We'll see. I hope it doesn't get cancelled mid season. I really hate it when that happens.

Loved the couples counseling at the beginning! Steve & Danny two bickering is the best thing about this show!
Not sure what the drone thing was about. Wow. Do the real things look that fake?
Nice to see Jorge Garcia back.
But he really has gained weight the past few years. I really didn't mind him as Hurley. I'm not one who thinks guys (or anyone) have to be stick thin. But now he is not looking very healthy. I wish he'd take care of himself. He seems like a sweet guy in real life and he's putting his life in jeopardy by being this heavy.
I can't stand Kono and What's-His-Name. They put me to sleep.
No clue what's up with Chin and the money issue.
Or the last bit with some creeper being in Danny's house.
Looks like they're tossing in a bunch of new plot threads again. Let's see if they follow through with any of them this time around. Sheesh.

Remember last season when we had the flashback and we got to see how Chin and Malia met...and the murder of Chin's dad by Malia's brother? Well, fast forward to the present, IA is convinced that Gabriel gave whatever money he had that the government or whoever was looking for, to Chin, so they're following him around in hopes of finding out where the missing money is. Basically it's like what happened pre-series that got Chin kicked off the force because he was accused of stealing money from the asset forfeiture locker.

I hope they do something with this. I want to see more from the supporting cast. It seems they keep starting new plot points and then... nothing ever happens with them.
