I'd loved Juliana Margulies from her ER days, so I was in from the very beginning and the addition of Chris Noth (Sex & the City), Josh Charles (Sports Night) & Christine Baranski (Addams Family Values) was irresistible. I think Alicia can be a difficult character; her choice to stay with an unfaithful husband, the fact that she's very emotionally closed off and hard to read, enigmatic, you often don't know what she's thinking/feeling, but despite that, the show is incredibly compelling. It's seldom boring. There's enough surprise and unexpectedness to make it really interesting. Within an episode, I can sometimes predict what's going to happen, but I can never tell what the long game is, which is an incredible thing. I wish it was better with color representation--though it sometimes manages to say smart things about race, despite that--but I absolutely love the complexity and variety and prominence of women in the show: Alicia, Diane, Kalinda, Robyn, recurring characters like Grace, Elsbeth Tascioni, Alicia's & Peter's mothers... There's a wonderful spectrum of femininity on the show that's just amazing and interesting and JUICY.

My absolute favorite characters are probably Kalinda, Carey and Diane, but it's one of the shows where I generally like all the characters, even the ones that I love to hate.

I am super excited about the new season; the show has undergone some huge upheavals and done it better than any other show I can think of; I'm very excited to see what they come up with, both exploring the consequences of last season's changes and what new things they do.

She's so great! And, now that True Blood is over, the actress could/should be available for more!

Last season was phenomenal, and it's great to say that five seasons in. I'm excited to see what will happen with the shake-ups that are going on, and crossing my fingers that the show can maintain its quality and ability to surprise.

Hm, who don't I love (well, I didn't love Will)? I hope they make better use of Robin; she disappeared for a while.
