Its very clear...

That i am a fail!mod.

Would someone be interested in posting any posts over the week? They don't have to be fancy, just something that sparks discussion or provides interest.

If you'd like to be mod, i'm all for that.
If you don't want the responsibility of modding you're still welcome to post ANY TV RELATED POST at ANY TIME.

Please help me keep this comm alive.

What exactly are you looking for?

To be honest, I miss it. I probably should have just taken a mini hiatus here when I dropped the hearts modding to see if they were both stressing me out or if it was just the hearts mod thing stressing me out.

Now with the homebase thing not being done, I'm not sure what you're looking for. I'm doing the links twice a week and I enjoy that...

I can post more. Not every day like I was doing before though.

I think the homebases worked for some shows, but most shows got few comments and some got none. I think most of this was due to how so few of use stay perfectly caught up with the shows we're watching these days and because DW isn't exactly high traffic either. Eh... I don't know.

anon comm

I have no idea, what this means...I feel so old ;) Are you talking something like the Monday post thing you did a week or so ago for people to comment about the various shows they had watched recently?

Earlier today I posted about 'Murder in the First' since it just ended. It did get one comment, which isn't too bad for a summer show that I know a lot of people weren't watching.

I know people liked my posts about upcoming shows that I was doing when the summer season was starting out. Though if I did that again, I'd probably do multiple shows per post and probably not have the polls. Or maybe still do polls...people seem to like polls, I don't know.

I love colls' Saturday posts!!!

I'm willing to come back as a mod (or a co-mod if anyone's interested...even if they can't post much, I wouldn't mind someone to bounce ideas off of, since I know you are busy much of the time) if you'd have me. Though I can understand if you might not.

I can mod this sort of thing, it's the team thing where I need to be part cheerleader and more social than I naturally am, that doesn't work it seems.

I think that's a little confusing...but what I'm getting is that you'd like a post for the week or a couple of times a week? or some other time period...and there'd be comment threads for different shows? And maybe with directions within the post of how to turn text white for spoilers? Instead of the whole homebase thing.

And maybe when a season ends or when someone catches up on a season and wants to make a post to see if people want to talk about it, that could be a good addition as well?

I don't mind posting, even frequently...I think I tend to sometimes post too frequently really. But other people posting would be great too, if only to have other voices out there and to make it feel more like a community.

I'd be happy to take it back. I needed to be added back as a mod though...I took myself off before, because I am a dork.

I can always do a poll/discussion post for what sort of things people want to see more of and who wants to post periodically.

okay, thought a bit more and checked out some of your earlier posts again...

You had this listed as a possible plan earlier...

Sunday : No Official post, open for memes, meta & other discussions
Monday : Currently Airing : Tv Round up post & Discussion
Tuesday : No Official post, open for memes, meta & other discussions
Wednesday : Currently Airing : Tv Round up post & Discussion
Thursday: No Official post, open for memes, meta & other discussions
Friday : Friday Five: Social Post
Saturday : Previously ons: Closed Canon Watch-alongs & Chatter

Tue & Thur we now have links… I think maybe Sundays could be a "What's coming up on tv for the week" kind of post. Sort of like the daily round up listing, but fewer shows listed (that was getting out of control) Maybe list the popular shows, highlight premieres and finales, specials, and link to places online where you can get full listings of tv shows/or track the shows you watch to keep track etc.

And Monday & Wed for the currently airing like you said and Fridays for Friday Five and/or other social type posts (again like you said) ;)

And of course colls' awesome 'Previously ons' continuing on Sat.

Other posts as they come up, like I did for when Murder in the First ended, that can be posted by anyone whenever.

Thoughts?

Hi timetobegin!

Would you consider changing tags permission for the comm so that members can add new tags? You may have noticed I started posting about new shows and I'd like to keep doing it (there are many more to talk about :) but it'd be easier if I could tag new and older posts so I can what has been mentioned and what hasn't yet. Also would you consider changing the style options so we can see tags, search and page summary in the sidebar?

Awesome! Thank you so much! Great thinking on changing the layout. I think this one makes things clearer and easier to browser.

I noticed that the layout didn't display some things correctly like multilevel tags and hardcoded all font sizes and margins (which is a big accessibility issue) so I took the liberty of making a close one based on a different style. This way there was no need to recode everything and it should be easier to change some bits using the site interface. I also increased the color contrast a little bit as the color scheme, while lovely, isn't accessible at all for people who need higher contrast. Not that it is accessible now but I do think the links are titles are a bit easier to read.

You can see the style at http://tv-talk.dreamwidth.org/?s2id=1801932. I didn't switch to it so if you don't like it or would like me to make some changes it's no pb.
