I'm glad I didn't bother with Dominion, considering everything I've heard about it. Also, a show about angels just doesn't really seem all that interesting, TBH

I finally finished S.H.I.E.L.D.!!!! I thought FitzSimmons was cute before, now..... *weeps* !!!! man, I ship it so hard right now, poor Fitz. I'm still disappointed about poor Grant Ward and wish him a redemption arc (although I have no idea how likely that will be) and May is as badass as ever! Flower girl is growing on me, kind of like Adalinde (Grimm) she's got an agenda of her own and isn't beholden to anyone. Next season ought to be interesting!

What has been your biggest summer disappointment? that I haven't managed to watch the new Falling Skies season yet :(
Have you dropped any shows this year? no, but I started Breaking Bad via Netflix and haven't really caught the bug yet.
What fall shows are you most excited for? Supernatural, Grimm
Hows things? I'm in the midst of re-watching season 10 of SG-1 and Firefly - which I started it with the re-watch at this comm and stalled

Since I'm rarely on top of things current, I would like to know what older shows people are into now. I'm thinking of going through and shows Vera Farminga has been in (ie. Roar, Touching Evil, UC:Undercover, Bates Motel)
Also, what sort of Netflix/Amazon streaming kind of shows or closed canons are people watching?

Breaking Bad is sort of slow to start and sometimes a bit boring tbh. It does pick up the pace eventually and hopefully you will like it more as it does!

If you like intense sort of dramas, I'd recommend checking out stuff like Six Feet Under or The Wire, which are both currently on Amazon prime.

aw yiss Longmire and Defiance and SG-1 and Firefly.

I'm watching Playful Kiss (which is Korean soap opera) and The Fall (a mystery series with Gillian Anderson). Recently finished Luther (the entire run of the series).

Right now, I'm waiting on S5 of The Vampire Diaries and (hopefully) S1 of the Originals to start streaming. If only so that I can catch up before the new fall TV season.

I really hope Girl Meets World ends up being good. I haven't watched it yet but I'm thinking about watching a few once it's aired some more.

What summer show are you super into right now? I've been watching Suits, Defiance and Dominion this summer
What other summer shows are great? Not really watching a whole lot of currently airing shows - I'm still catching up on stuff that aired last fall or spring. Still meaning to try out Extant since I'm only a couple of eps behind.
What has been your biggest summer disappointment? Probably...Dominion? It's kind of waffling all over the place, and none of it is as interesting or exciting as it could have been.
Have you dropped any shows this year? I thought I was going to drop The Vampire Diaries but ended up watching the last five episodes all in one go ~~because I'm stubborn like that~~
What fall shows are you most excited for? Agents of SHIELD, Elementary, Sleepy Hollow, Supernatural, Arrow, Grimm, Once Upon a Time
Hows things? Good! Just got caught up on Arrow and The Vampire Diaries, and would love to do a re-watch of Veronica Mars and Alias soon.

What summer show are you super into right now? Murder in the First
What other summer shows are great? Hmm. I can only think of shows which are already over for the year (Fargo, Orange Is the New Black, Orphan Black).
What has been your biggest summer disappointment? Dominion & The Strain so far.
Have you dropped any shows this year? Legend of Korra. I'm not caught up on Justified yet but I'll definitely be before the last season starts. Also I started watching Lost Girl but stalled at season 2. Not sure whether I'll drop it.
What fall shows are you most excited for? B99, Elementary, SHIELDS, Sleepy Hollow.
Hows things? Trying to watch Rectify which looks so awesome (the first ep was great) but this is one soul-sucking show.

What summer show are you super into right now? Pretty Little Liars. What can I say, I love the camp and the humor. And all the characters and relationships. Though there are some things I really hate.
What other summer shows are great? I'm not really familiar with any other summer shows airing now! Unless stuff like Orphan Black, Continuum or In the Flesh count as well.
What has been your biggest summer disappointment? PLL trying to redeem a certain character.
Have you dropped any shows this year? I stopped watching True Blood last year; I thought about picking it up again, but I really have no interest in catching up at all.
What fall shows are you most excited for? I can't even think of anything right now! Maybe Parks and Recreation? I forget anything else!

What summer show are you super into right now? Not really excited but steadily watching is more like it. ;) : The Divide, Power, True Blood.
What other summer shows are great? I've been meaning to give Extant a try even though I'm not digging the whole baby storyline. (I could think of a few more plots that had nothing to do with that).
What has been your biggest summer disappointment? Incidentally, True Blood. I'm not a hate-watcher (there are a zillion other shows in the planet). However, given that this the final season, I'm with this show til what looks like going to be a very lukewarm end. :-/
Have you dropped any shows this year? I haven't dropped anything yet. However, I'm crossing all crossables that Elementary picks up from what (to me) felt like a seriously uneven season. See also: MORE Alfredo, Ms. Hudson, and Clyde!
What fall shows are you most excited for? Arrow, The Blacklist, Revenge, American Horror Story, Sleepy Hollow.
Hows things? Good. I'm the kind of TV viewer who, except for the shows I mentioned as excited about, tends to marathon episodes whenever the mood strikes me. This means I've got a lengthy list of shows to check out.

What summer show are you super into right now? I'm not. Sad but true. I did watch the first two episodes of Extant. I could post about about it.
What other summer shows are great? Good question.
What has been your biggest summer disappointment? Well, there wasn't anything that looked that interesting so...
Have you dropped any shows this year? Blacklist, I suppose. It got too grisly for me. Justified. I hated the women in prison subplot so I quit watching in the middle of whatever season that was. Warehouse 13 ended.
What fall shows are you most excited for? Um. I watch Nashville and Elementary. Excited might be too strong a word. I mostly liked season two of Nashville and was kind of meh about Elementary. With Nashville, I'm just there for the characters and the music but whatever happens, it's fine. I have low expectations due to the genre. On the other hand, I wasn't that happy with some of the character developments in Elementary. As much as I love Lucy Liu as Joan Watson, I can now imagine quitting this show. I'm genuinely excited about Orphan Black and The Americans but they don't start until spring. And Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries got a third season, which thrilled me, though God only knows when I'll get to see it.

I'm nervous about Aquarius, David Duchovny's new series but again, it doesn't begin until the spring. Why nervous? The sixties era has so many issues, and I actually lived through them as a child/teen so it's personal for me. I couldn't watch Mad Men. Too upsetting. The set-up disturbs me: young women in jeopardy, in thrall to a creepy manipulator; Charles Manson disgusts me. He's still alive, too, as are some of the victims' families. I worry that they'll get it all wrong and I'll hate it. I worry that they'll get it right and I'll still hate it.
How's things?
I hurt my back yesterday so I'm in a lot of pain. I need to pull together tomorrow's post for

fringe_rewatch. I need to do laundry. I need to figure out a way to write that doesn't require sitting. I need to get unstuck for my

crossovering fic.

Okay, I'm going to go read the comments now.

The Blacklist deffo pushes the envelope as far as what's acceptable violence for a TV show. I'm fairly squeamish (despite my love for Game of Thrones and American Horror Story), so I think it was the collective power of James Spader and the rest of the cast what helped me move past the gorier scenes. YMMV.

In all truth, I think that TPTB will have to do some massive overhaul of storylines for Elementary. Like I mentioned above, there's always the possibility that the show gets better (I was this close to quitting Revenge after the hot mess of S2. TPTB acknowledged that they had a lot of missteps and rectified things as soon as the show came back for a third season). So, basically, I'm saying that Elementary could get better. Granted, it could also get worse (but then, I'm an optimist so I'm crossing fingers. *g*)

Ah, now I've got to give you a high-five for liking Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries!!! What a show! Like you, I'm over the moon that they got a third season.

Huh, I had no idea David Duchovny's got a new show.#themoreyouknow

OK, for serious now: is The Americans worth watching? I keep checking it out (because I've heard that it's good) yet, at the same time, I'm not all the way sure to give it a try. Thoughts? Comments?
