This is the first season and there will be 13 episodes.
Season one airs on Syfy from June 19-September 11 2014 on Thursday nights.

What is Dominion?
Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the near future. Specifically, 25 years after "The Extinction War," when an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, waged war against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, chose to side with humanity. Rising out of the ashes of this long battle are newly fortified cities which protect human survivors. At the center of the series is the city of Vega, a glistening empire that has formed from the ruins of what was once Las Vegas.

I thought there was lots of build-up happening. Predictable build-up for the most part, but nonetheless!

Lots of tension and conflict being set up for Alex, Michael and Claire. The thing with Noma finding out about Alex and Claire was nice. I wonder if she's noticed that he doesn't do group showers any more ;)

I enjoyed Alex fighting Felicia and Michael fighting Gabriel, I enjoy the wings and angel strength and some decent wire-work. I thought Bixby was going to die, and I'm glad she didn't.

It's a bit clichéd but overall, I found this very watchable and kind of easy on the brain/emotions, which is exactly what I need at the moment.
