I know this is a community for talking about television programs but considering both of our rewatch shows this time around have movies that came (or are coming) after and someone in the rewatch poll talked about how the were more likely to rewatch movies than TV shows. So, it got me wondering about other people's thoughts on TV vs The movies.

One of the main reasons I prefer TV over movies is because I like the longer storytelling format. I like being able to get to know characters more in-depth over time. Something that is difficult with most movies.

I like to spend more time in the worlds that I love. It's one of the reasons I prefer a book series over stand alone novel.

Yeah this exactly. I'm surprised that we all seem to feel the same! I used to think i liked tv more because movies were too long. But then i looked closer at my viewing habits, and i discovered kind of the opposite. With so many shows adopting the uninterrupted serial format, tv is totally the new books.
