I liked it quite a bit even if it wasn't a "fireworks" episode. Annie's right: other characters, like Annie and Jeff, have been getting the spotlight (and it is time for a Shirley episode), so I liked having some focus on Britta. Also, I liked the combination of Abed and Hickey, and the issue of accountability when it comes to Abed being raised.
The Chang ghost stuff was the most fun in the episode, with the vague Sixth Sense and then The Shining references. The rest was on the serious side, but I like that about the show, that it's not The Gag and Pop Culture Riff Show. It's not a live action Family Guy. So, in a way the episode was as if Abed and Hickey had written it together. :)
And Jeff and Prof Duncan actually behaving like friends was cool, too. It is aggravating when shows act like friendships consist of characters being dickish to each other.
