I've been considering Pachinko, because I like historical family dramas about historical periods I know zip about. Historical dramas work for me - if they focus on a family, or a mystery. I don't like War Dramas, so tend to steer away from those.

Given the time period they do deal with war but it's more a matter of how they have to deal with changes as a result.
