The wildest theory I came up with was for the final season of Game of Thrones. Based on certain prophecies, I managed to convince myself that Jon would get Daenerys pregnant with a literal dragon that would defeat the Night King. I wasn't convinced it would happen, but I really thought it was a viable possibility.

With the ending being what it was, I'm not sure this would have been worse lol.
