The Expanse is such a good show. It certainly filled that good scifi itch that I've been having ever since BSG. A space opera that has a lot of interesting twists and turns in regards to political issues and conflicts between different factions of humanity, spread across our solar system. I love the world-building, the way there is a distinct kind of culture between those different factions (Earthers, Martians, and Belters) and how there is just this ongoing tension. I love the complexity of it, how human it is, and how, because it is set in the near-future, it does focus on things that we're currently facing today so it's both foreign (with the protomolecule) but also familiar, as well.
I love it very much, it's such a brilliant show and I cannot wait to start reading the books as well.
