I've found much the same. A lot for me depends on how well regarded it is, either critically or by someone I know. I also have no compunction about forwarding through stuff that doesn't interest me. I did a lot of this recently with Severance, though I finished the season.

I find that even if I gave up on a show a while ago, provided I watched several seasons I am still curious to know how it ends. That's all that got me to watch the endings of SPN and The Good Fight.
