Happy New Year!!

Hopefully you've settled into 2018 by now and have recovered from whatever holiday shenanigans came your way.

- What was your favorite show of 2017?
- What are you most looking forward to watching in 2018?

It needed be something released in 2017/2018, it could be something you picked up or something you want to re-watch, etc.

Agents of Shield now that it’s finally back and Game of Thrones over the summer!

Looking forward to the final season of The Originals and S2 of Jessica Jones!

I don't think I have a single favourite show of 2017 -- there were several highlights. These include season 3 of Outlander, which was outstanding, the new Star Trek, which may be the best series yet, season 7 of Game of Thrones, season 4 of Line of Duty, and season 2 of the Expanse, just to name a few.

Looking forward to AMC's The Terror, as well as a couple of SF offerings: Hard Sun from the BBC and Altered Carbon on Netflix. As well as new series of returning shows (The Expanse, Outlander, etc.).

'17: Doctor Who. Twelve and Bill! That Masterful season finale!
'18: The rest of The X-Files season. Started out well, so I have high hopes.

As for new things I enjoyed Blood Drive very very much. Also Riverdale, Mindhunter, Black Sails Season 4 and Bojack Horseman.

Not sure what I'm looking forward to, in most cases I have to wait for DVDs to come out, so with some shows I'm behind. Looking forward to watching Supernatural Season 13 at some point. And the Wayward Sisters spin off. And more of Mindhunter!

Game of Thrones S7 legit dominated my TV watching. (The year-long wait for the last (!) season is killing me!!!)

Other than that, I watched S18 of Law & Order: SVU, S1 of American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J Simpson, S1 of Feud, S1 of The Defenders, S1 of The Exorcist, and S1 of Black Sails.

Yeah, my TV watching took something of a nosedive in 2017.

Among the shows I'm super excited about are:

* S2 of Jessica Jones;
* S4 of Black Mirror (I haven't watched it yet);
* S2 of The Exorcist
* S3 and 4 of Black Sails
* Versailles (Netflix)
* Paranoid (Netflix)
* S19 of L&O: SVU (which is the only show I watch live. Yeah, I don't know either. #LOL)

I fell in love with “Narcos”. Loved the first two seasons, was a bit meh about the third, but found it still good.

The Crown was absolutely amazing and I loved it.
I'm also binging Last Man on Earth which is HILARIOUS.
LOVING The Orville. Cannot wait for more.
Finished rewatching Zoo and now horribly sad that it was cancelled.
The Good Doctor has hooked me.

Really excited for 9-1-1. Haven't watched the premier yet, it's on my DVR.
Also excited for catching up on all the DCTV shows because I have gotten terribly behind.

Things I have added to my netflix queue to watch:
Travelers, The Magicians, Young & Hungry, Call the Midwife, Frontier, Dark, Land Girls, Shetland. There's more on here but not sure I'm going to get to it soon.

Favourite show last year was Forever, I discovered it so late but still fell in love with it.

At the moment I'm looking forward to Murdoch Mysteries s11 which starts here on Monday. Will & Grace s9 starts later tonight (show! welcome back! you have been sorely missed!) and Signed Sealed Delivered: Home Again on Sunday and any other new SSD installments that may be made.

I'm not sure if I'll bother with the new X-Files eps when they air here, the last ones were disappointing.

Quite a lot!

Lucifer, The Expanse, Star Trek: Discovery, The Crown, Stranger Things 2, Mozart in the Jungle, Versailles.

Lucifer and The Expanse are top of the list of things I enjoyed in 2017, though.

In 2018, I'm looking forward to the return of Discovery and for the final season of The Americans.

I hear you! Since I watch it live, I had to set a reminder went the winter hiatus started. Otherwise, it would have totally passed me by.

Last night's wasn't a bad episode, but not a great one either. There one thing I'm hoping for the rest of this season is that we don't get any more "Noah is in danger!" episodes or story arcs. I like Olivia, but I want to see more stories about the rest of the cast OR for the show to go back to the crime-of-the-week episodes.

I knoooooooow. Like I get it, drama sells, but come on! Leave poor Noah alone already! His mom's already at work 23/24 hours a day!

Was the issue at least resolved this week?

My favorite show of 2017 was Timeless. I watched an episode or two in the Fall of 2016 and naturally my husband was unenthusiastic so that was that. BUT I started watching it again right after it was cancelled and then renewed last spring. I bought the DVDs as soon as they were released, I can't wait for season two, I'm plotting a crack!fic crossover that makes me laugh every time I think about it. It's a fun, old-fashioned time-travel series. Fun is good.

I'm looking forward to and also dreading the final season of The Americans.
