BONES, a darkly amusing procedural entering its 10th season, is inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs.
Dr. TEMPERANCE BRENNAN (Emily Deschanel) is a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C., and writes novels on the side. When the standard methods of identifying a body are useless (ie. the remains are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed), law enforcement calls on Brennan for her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the victim's bones.

I have mixed feelings about this show. I've given up on it a couple times, but then came back. I can't seem to let the characters go, even though the storylines sometimes drive me crazy.

I feel the same.
I quit when [Spoiler:Brennan became pregnant] because I was 100% not interested in a storyline like that. I'm amazed it's still on the air, TBH and am somewhat interested in what has become of it since then. Not interested enough to actually tune in though - haha!
