tv talk restructure

HELLO

- Initially the "captain & home base" system seemed like a good idea because it meant lots of people getting involved & that spoilers for a show were at a specific post. It meant there was only a few posts a week rather than a new post every time a different show aired. THANK you TO EVERYONE, especially [personal profile] lostdragonfound who has done an amazing job lately.

- While i still like the options of the no-spoilers & a few posts a week, i thought we could try a DIFFERENT system. I think the general concesus is that a lot of people don't watch the show straight away but would still like to talk about it. DW doesn't have a spoiler-cut function, however there is always the option of colouring text white :)

- I propose a new structure with the following posts :

Sunday : No Official post, open for memes, meta & other discussions
Monday : Currently Airing : Tv Round up post & Discussion
Tuesday : No Official post, open for memes, meta & other discussions
Wednesday : Currently Airing : Tv Round up post & Discussion
Thursday: No Official post, open for memes, meta & other discussions
Friday : Friday Five: Social Post
Saturday : Previously ons: Closed Canon Watch-alongs & Chatter

No Official post, open for memes, meta & other discussions : Things such as spoiler posts, games, challenges, meta discussions, thematic posts could be posted here.

Currently Airing posts would have recently aired shows (obviously two a week means we'd have a few shows to talk about. The drawback of so few posts means the likelihood of being spoiled could be a possibility...However we could increase these posts to three or four times a week?

VOLUNTEERS WELCOME if you'd like to take one of these posts and be responsibly for posting it every week, i'd love to hear from you. I'd appreciate people that are reliable and will posts the posts, as i don't always get online everyday.

I think this sounds really sweet. I may be able to do Wednesdays but this depends on whether rounds ups should always include news like they used to and whether there's some flexibility concerning posting time as I live in Europe and don't know yet what my work schedule will be like in the fall (although I do always have Wed. afternoons off).

I could take on the 'previously ons' Saturday posts - especially since I'm one of those rarely current with anything.

If anyone misses them, I can post a collection tv news links (like I did at the end of round ups before) once or twice a week. It was the daily thing that got to be too much really. I still read way too much tv news...real news is way too depressing.

I could do the Monday post. Are we going to abandon the Homebase idea entirely and do all our talking in the weekly post, or would I be linking to the Homebases in the Monday post?

Cool, I think Tuesday will work best :)

I'm going to do them on Thursdays as well if that's okay.
Now that the new season is coming close, there are more links around to post, and I think a second day would be easier (and more timely) in a lot of ways. And there aren't that many other posts happening, so I don't think it will make the comm too busy.

If you object, let me know :)

You're busy with a lot of things!

Cool, I like posting the links :)
